In my opinion (and that's all it is), financial independence has been achieved once your PASSIVE income is equal to or greater than 2X your annual spend.

I hate to seem negative, but IMO anyone asking these sort of questions has no business trading futures, at least not in the near future (see what I did there?). Take some time to learn the basics. And I mean fundamentals, primary sources, not internet forums.

Depends what you own. If you're just in cash? Yeah it sucks. Do you own assets? Depending on what, could be neutral to positive, for a while anyway.
