Porgie, Kiss of death is when sup / res / "trendline" is penetrated and then the the price returns to "kiss" it from the other side, fails to break through, then continues in the initial direction. Basically support becomes resistance or vice versa. Test is a more prosaic word for it...

Continued with the Euro today and tacked on another $825 net (total includes the $587.50 from early this morning that I already posted). Typical of me to make life difficult with umpteen countertrend scalps instead of buy and holding after the 15:00 news like a sensible person would have done.

A distinguished blotter indeed ^ For what it's worth I managed to eke out another $500 from some Euro scalps, which at least brings me +ve for last two days.

Caught a nice trend on cable today, but remove around $300 for commissions thanks to my overtrading like a buffoon afterwards.

I don't mean to be rude, but why do you want a car that "fits the part"? Instead of worrying about fashion and what other people think, buy a car that fits your own criteria. It always amazes me how much money people will impulsively spend in the pursuit of impressing others when that money...

People respond to incentives. --- If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidise it.

They look pretty much the same ($ for $) to me, but I may be missing something? My broker charges 6094 / 4875 for DD 1219 / 975 for YM and YM is one fifth of the size of DD. So 5 YM cost the same as 1 DD, which both give $25 per tick.

One trouble is JM that you can't scale in/out with just 1 or 2 lots of DD, like you can 5 or 10 lots of YM. If I get up to 20 and liquidity is good I'll switch, but for 10 YM lots the equivalent 2 DD just isn't flexible enough (for me anyway). Pity cause the reduced commission is a real draw.

It sounds like your boss is trying to get you to rack up as much commission as possible, regardless of whether the trades you take are in your best interests, but I may be wrong. Trading well does not necessarily mean often.
