I was looking at Nov SPX Options. How come not all the strikes are not evenly spread out every 5 strikes. For example, I see 1205 Put, then 1200, (5 point difference) but after that it goes 1190 (10 points) then to 1175(15 points), 1160 then 1150(back to 10 point spread). Will they open new...

It's always fun to watch ES after Fed announcements. It's not soo much fun when your in a position when the announcment is released though. I remember once, being short during the announcement release. Right after the news came out, I was down 400 bucks within 20mins I was up $300 and I was glad...

I don't see the typo. Isn't the short hand way of saying a "555/550 Bull Put Spread and 585/590 Bear Call Spread", 555/585 Iron Condor? I need OEX to close between those two strikes to recieve 100% of my premium.

I have a 555/550 Bull Put Spread and a 585/590 Bear Call Spread. This makes an Iron Condor, right?

I understand that Gamma, is the first derivative of delta, and Vega is the amount change with a 1% change in the underlying's volatility. But, what do you guys mean when you are shorting, Vega and/or Gamma?? Thanks.

I opened 127/128 Bear Call spread w/ 5 contracts. So, I have put up $500 in margin. If I were to open another Bear Call spread let's say a 129/130, I would have to put up another $500 margin, right? Thanks.

Got filled this morning on OEX 585/590 Call Spread for $0.80 credit. I'm looking at 540/535 strikes on the put side, but their isn't any credit on that spread yet. I'll be glad if I get .20~.25 on it. Anyone else trying to get into OEX this month?? Thanks. Daytrader85

I'm not sure which exchanges it's traded on, but I have had a history with trading OEX spreads as well. I think OEX is pretty good index to do IC's on as well. I put on a 550/575 Iron Condor for September options, got $1.90/contract for the whole spread. There was some nervous times last...

Haha. I would listen to your show during the day, but I don't think I could get to a computer that would let me listen to the show. I would rather listen to how to make money using Iron Condors then learn about Supply & Demand, and Elasticity!!!:) Hope my econ professor doesn't read this...

You are right. But actually, your maximum loss on this trade would be $9,950 because you recieved $50 credit when opening the position. Am I right, Coach??
