that may exactly be what i'm looking for. not looking to trade actively as a trader, but as a semi long term investor/holder. i guess these deposits are insured by the fdic?
Hello. I've never exchanged currencies before (other than when traveling abroad). I'm looking to buy some asian currencies to hold for..who knows how long.
Can anyone recommend some basic, reliable systems I can deposit USD into so I can make the trade?
What kinds of commissions do...
all right then. so is anyone out there willing to trade/train with me? i am very well mannered, have a decent phone voice, and speak fluent english as well as two other languages. how about it folks?
but also, what are some other good remote prop firms that won't go belly up on me? what...
Does anyone know of any good prop firms to trade remotely with, as a new trader? I don't have any friends who trade that I can learn from. I guess I could look for people on this site but I'd prefer that the people I trade with are from the same company I trade through.
After getting laid...
I am located in an area where there are no prop firms. I really want to give trading full time a shot, but since i am staying put where i am, i guess it would have to be remote.
However, I always prefer being right next to the people i work with especially if i need to learn from them. So...
you're right about those craigslist ads. what i've been trying to do is check out the big firms that have been around for some time - assent, echo, etc. i went to meet with a couple of those firms and i wasn't even asked for a resume. don't know if this is necessarily a good thing....
so what happens in such a case where the firm fully backs the trader, when the trader is down ...let's say $25,000. overall, does the firm take the loss or is the trader required to make it back or cough it up before he/she leaves the company?
just a hypothetical. not that i plan on quitting after 6 months. or necessarily end up quitting after 12 months. just setting up the scenario and asking what if.
What are some career options for an individual who has failed at trading full time. Let's use the following scenario:
- person has college degrees
- person has solid work experience of close to 10 yrs in a salaried, non-trading job
- person quits to trade full time
- 6 months to one year...
well. i have plans of moving out of my current state - not NC. i'm trying to consider all my options including renting it out. i figure i can have a low payment that can be covered by the rent i collect, and 3-5 yrs later home values will have rebounded a little bit.
the home value according to cfc is 617,000 but that's inflated. realistically i could sell this for around 600. my loan amt is 400. income over 200k, and pay 400/mo in low int. credit card payments and school loans.
i have a fico score of 785 according to countrywide when i spoke about a refi to a 5 yr ARM IO. they gave me the my current int rate (5.75%) and closing costs of 4500.
i do'nt think this is a good deal, is it? this was just three days ago.
