What do the price drivers say about XOM? YM would certainly have been better off without that oinker in the mix these last few weeks.

So one cannot begin to look for any bands until after P2? Can an Ab A turn be followed by a BM-Rev B turn ? don't see that combo in the tables

Thanks Jack, you answered my question #3, answer = start with a P1 and the annotations will eventually self correct. Can you please address questions 1 and 2 when u get a chance - thanks. A couple more questions from 8-02-13: 1. If bar 11 had closed 1 tick lower it would have been a C...

Jack, It has helped me tremendously to see a hand annotated log in conjunction with a TN annotated chart for the same time period. I then go through those by by bar and ask you many questions, and from your answers it comes together in my mind piece by piece. Please continue posting...

Thanks for your reply. Are P1's assigned on the bar *of* the C turn or the bar after? Are C turns the only turns that generate a new P1? I'm guessing no since a new P1 was labeled on bar 17 following an A turn. Moving along, a long position would have been initiated on the close of Lvbo...

Ok so at bar 15 we now know (in hindsight) that bar 13 was a C turn due to BM-Rev B turn followed by BO-T1 as our N-1, N respectively. Is there a reason the rtl was drawn high to high i.e. if bar 15 had closed below the low-low trendline would the C turn still have been confirmed?

Ok Jack, I have my list of questions compiled regarding 8-2-13. 1. The only C turn with Ba as N event has BM-Rev as N-1 event. Was the BM-Rev during the prior trading day? 2. Does the Ba bandpass volume have to be >T2P but <P2, i.e. would it have been a Fb (or Ca?) if volume was >P2? 3...

Thank you once again for a nicely detailed reply, my apologies for asking for the same thing twice, but ET has a posting delay of some kind and I hadn't seen your response. I will have further questions and will compile/send them tomorrow morning.

Fortunately, I printed out the color version of those charts from the other thread. I was hoping you would give a step by step as to why bar 4 was labeled a C turn (D-D). Also, bar 13 is labeled the exact same type of turn but bar shape is FTP (internal) and price should have suppressed...

Hi Jack, A while back you posted a partial log and TN annotation for 8-2-13. I am really struggling to see how bar 4 was labeled a C turn. It is also labeled a Ba band pass, which I can see but isn't a Ba turn an incomplete trend? When you have time could you kindly post the MADA process...

How can bar 12 be labeled as a C turn? Bar 12 was a FBP ie no permission to measure volume. Did you mean to type bar 13?

    A trading contest..........

Thank you, that was a very helpful explanation as I was unclear on exactly how reverse chron worked. I.e. if reverse chron is false then the next element must be true? And in this situation T1 must be false because it can't occur immediately after P2 right? But now I have a follow up...

Hi Jack, can you please explain how bar 2 can be a T2P when volume is less than bar 1 - thanks in advance.
