    Todays Rally 11/13/07

Not a single believer in today's rally amongst the posters - things that make you go hmmmm

    11/08/2007 - Gonna be Green !!

Yes, that was a very ugly "I will not be long this weekend" close.

Trade Station is far worse than IB

I have had similar problems with TS on a fairly consistent basis lately. But I keep many charts open including several tick charts that feed intraday indicators. Loading up my charts takes a solid 7-8 minutes or so upon starting TS so for that reason I like keeping my platform running...

    Short-term trading with Oscar

I looked at his site this morning, saw he scaled into longs overnight. Surely the guy has been stopped out by now - I mean we put in new lows for the week today. Dont see that update on the site . . .

    VERY bad feeling II

"Should of shorted at the bell on that covering run up." Thank you captain obvious - forgot to mention should have bought yesterday's morning lows first.

    PPT cometh !!

stock_trad3r: You missed the point of my earlier post entirely. I was suggesting that large gap downs which aren't filled in first hour often lead to more capitulative selling, which is exactly what happened today. You cited Friday Oct 19 as evidence to contrary. On that day we also closed...

    PPT cometh !!

"there was no good reason for the selloff citi news increases odds of rate cut time 2 buy this di[ odds are this market will rebound today" Today could prove to be the exception, but gap down days where gap does not fill in first hour rarely reverse strongly late in the day. i.e...

    What a short squeeze...

"Accordingly, I am short ES from 1529.75." Good fill, only 703 contracts traded there thus far today.

    Buy this dip!

"What do you think now?" I think we saw alot of the typical ET bearish chatter last night, celebrating the first decent down day in weeks. Nice follow through today by the bears . . . buying back stuff they shorted late yesterday

    Doesn't anyone remember 2000?

"The same scenario is playing out EXACTLY like 2000" Except in 2000 the highs for the year were put in months before the summer rally very much NOT like new highs put in the day of this post. We already had 2 major selloffs this year and both have already yielded to new record highs...

    Ts Down Again???

"How come TS shut down their support forum when there is a problem?" Same thing happened during their trade server debacle last month, they claimed it was an "unrelated" issue. Today must be another coincidence . . .

David Tice predicts S&P down 40% in 12 months

Isn't Tice being bearish about as rare as Abbey Cohen being bullish or Bob Prechter being bearish? Who cares what this guy thinks.

    Going higher?

Yes, surprised by the seemingly out of the blue selling volume that showed up right at the close. Had been very little selling volume entire day, at one point >25:1 up volume, ended <10:1

    Stupid tradestation

"Is this just a rant on them for today or is this something that happens consistently because i just signed over with them on my ES account. --?" Good question. I have been trading with them since January 2007 and there have been sporadic instances where the trade sever has went down but I...

    Stupid tradestation

Yep, think TS contributed to the lunch hour panic today. What seems really cheesy to me is how they disabled the contacts section of their website, saying it was down for maintenance. I am currently on hold 30 minutes and counting. The worst thing is not knowing your actual position . . .
