The resume can suck.
What should you say about getting out of the prop business? I've wondered this question myself...not in prop yet but asking myself what I'd do if things go wrong.
A lot of times your resume will go in the trash can. If you can, have a pro right it. The cover letter...
Kershner is completely legit, tho they're in Texas.
I know nobody there, nor do I work that, but it might be worth giving a look.
Then there are a few others with the names behind them. Gelber, for instance.
You sound like a smart guy. You realize that just because you did it one year doesn't mean you'll do it consistently.

Comments re: enforcement, etc...
So I got an offer from LEK for the summer.
Anybody know them well???
They DO NOT do prop trading or market making. They are an order-execution firm.
I am not from NY.
Anyone have any comments on them?
!!! WOW !!!
I know Hank Hartong. He came and spoke. Yes, he's running a PE group out of Conn. now. Clearly doing very well.
Had a nice conversation with him. Might want to think abou e-mailing him. Mostly I've been staying away from P.E., focusing more on trading-oriented / market...
So I've applied to many more places lately. Lots of smaller trading firms. Pretty much in limbo here trying to wait to hear from people (yikes!)
Did get rejected from HSBC's European branch. :Shucks:. Discouraging but can't give up!!
Still trying to find somewhere in NY....
honestly reading back on my post I did take a bit of a stand w. arrogance after being felt like you guys thought I was an idiot.
So for that, my apologies as well.
And I lend great credence to your advocating to sell naked puts. I indeed use this strategy as well, and do find it...
