    Trading Platforms For Crypto Trading

Hi, As a futures trader I find the most efficient way to trade (particularly as a scalper) is on a price ladder such as TT, CQG etc. Looking at most crypto exchanges they dont have a price ladder, are there any platforms that allow third party price ladder software to plug in to the exchange...

Where Do You Get Help With Backtest Coding?

Hi, Although a very experienced trader i am barely even beginner in coding skills. I'm using NinjaTrader. I'm stuck with a bit of code. Apart from the NinjaTrader forums where its mostly their staff replying, who are helpful but won't exactly write code for you. Do you know of any decent...

Biden to end most tax cuts if he wins. This will be intriguing.

I must have missed the part where I was “proven wrong”. What are you even arguing about haha?

what are you so aggressive about? From your first response it was “go learn math” even though what I said was mathematically accurate. Chill Jeez

Biden to end most tax cuts if he wins. This will be intriguing.

I was talking about futures trading and mentioned “lots” in my original post. You may be new to the market but this is common futures trading terminology and my point that FTT would kill short term day trading in futures still stands. As you say...”accuracy counts” maybe you should heed your...

Biden to end most tax cuts if he wins. This will be intriguing.

Firstly every proposed FTT I’ve seen has been 0.005% including Sanders proposal https://www.taxpolicycenter.org/taxvox/can-sanders-financial-transactions-tax-raise-trillions-and-cut-speculation Secondly you said 20x my number. So 20x worse than the number I mentioned. So you have proven my...

You clearly don’t understand FTT then. It is 0.005% of the notional value of the trade. For most futures contracts that about $10-20 a trade. That’s to get in and get out per contact. if you can make money paying $40 per round turn per Lot trades good luck to you.

    Hedging A Debit Spread

I started my futures trading on a market making desk. I was never massively directional. More looking for correlations and hedges. Mostly spreading. Would scale in and out managing multiple legs across lots of markets. But still had a lot of ‘prediction’ involved. since I’ve been in options it...

    Hedging A Debit Spread

Thanks guys. Yeah was thinking about doing something with a fly. I guess selling the underlying puts me double short if it really starts to keep going up for no additional credit.

    Hedging A Debit Spread

Hi all, Been a futures trader for a long time but finding a lot of opportunities in options but probably not as advanced as some on here and trying to learn. If you had a debit spread that was onside, is there anyway to hedge it to lock in the fact you are onside the underlying without having...

Hi Robbo, To be honest I never really explored them, I stayed focused on the things I have had working for me anyway. But I think there is something in them worth exploring. Tom

Two Beginner Questions On IV Please

To be honest I’ve managed OPM and I find that WAY more stressful than managing my own. A loss is bad, a loss then having to justify it to people is twice as bad. Also, I think markets are the fairest system on earth (assuming you trade legally). Every transaction is an agreement. It’s an...

Two Beginner Questions On IV Please

Hi all, I've been trading futures for a long time but want to diversify into options and have a couple of initial questions on IV. 1/ The IV displayed at each strike, as i understand it, is annualized, is there an online calculator etc to work out the expected move for the time remaining until...

German derivatives traders shocked by new tax law

Nope. I’m in the U.K. So glad we voted to Brexit. The EU are determined to exterminate speculation. My biggest fear was a transaction tax which could possibly be managed by trading smaller contracts looking for bigger moves. But if losses are effectively taxed the same as profits business is...

German derivatives traders shocked by new tax law

Is this for German nationals trading German products? Or is it also for German’s trading non German products, such as CME etc? If just German products then obviously just trade others. But if it’s for all international markets that’s effectively like a tariff on American inflows. It will impact...
