Anyone used Interactive Brokers ? ?

def The problem is that I run into stocks every day that don't have all the links. I trade a lot of different stocks, and sometimes lesser known companies. I have no problem sending an email, but I just wondered if it would fall on deaf ears if they got a daily email from me with a list of...

Anyone used Interactive Brokers ? ?

Def I am constantly running finding stocks that are not linked to ISLD and/or REDI. Consequently, it is nearly impossible to trade these stocks. Who should I contact at IB concerning this? I am going to have to email them every day with a new list of stocks that have incomplete links. I...

    Earnings Announcement

Briefing.com also provides a daily list, divided by premarket, during, and aftermarket sessions. But it is $10/mo for Briefing service. BTW, does anyone know where revenue estimates are listed? (Not just EPS estimates)

    RAM

GreatBalls I have Win 2000 on one computer, and the only problems I've run into have been compatability ones. (With a couple software programs, and also with my sound card.) I have Win NT on my main computer, and I would have it on both computers if it weren't such a pain in the ass to go...

    Pros/Cons SuperSOES

The only con I know of has to do with Selectnet. Let's say you want to sell by preferencing a market maker, and that MM is bidding 500 shares. In order to make that trade, you have to decide to sell at least 600 shares (100 more than the MM is bidding.) I really don't understand why they would...

    RAM

One thing you need to consider, as the last two guys mentioned, is your OS. I used to have Win 98. I kept increasing my RAM because I was using most of it. So I went from 64MB to 128MB. I figured since I was using about 60MB on a regular basis, I would now have twice what I needed. But my system...

Auto Power Shut off for Monitors/Win NT

rtharp You might be confusing Win NT and Win 98. Win 2000 is based on Win NT, and as far as I know NT is more stable. It never freezes up like 98 always did on me. I prefer Win NT over Win 2000 because of compatability issues.

Auto Power Shut off for Monitors/Win NT

Actually it's not the same. I have Win 2000 on my second computer, and what you described is how I set it up on that one. On Win NT, there's no 'power' option in the same place you change your screen saver. Thanks anyway.

Auto Power Shut off for Monitors/Win NT

Does anyone know how to have your computer shut off your monitors after a certain amount of time if they're not in use? This is for Win NT.

    Anyone using AIQ/mytrack ?

I tried AIQ real time for a month about a year ago. All I remember is that it took forever to load one chart.

    Daytrading on Datek

There are some direct access brokers who charge a lot less for software than Real Tick firms do, and give rebates a lot sooner than 50 or 100 trades. For example, Exptrader charges $38/mo for their software, and rebate that after only 10 trades. Tradescape and IB are ideal for small lot traders...

    IB's New Java Platform

def I'm trying to save as much space as possible on my desktop. Under contract, for stocks, the reading is, for example, 'DELL S USD BEST.' Is there any way to put the route before the 'S' and the 'USD,' which are pretty much useless info taking up screen space? I would like to have it read...

Out of memory on C Drive

I have a Dell Workstation with dual 10 GB hard drives. I don't have a ton of stuff installed on my C drive, but every time I try to install something, I get an error message stating that I don't have enough room on my drive. I don't see how this is possible. I'm running Win NT, and I can't find...

    Global Access Finance

Dustin As far as I know, the software that Global Access uses has what they call 'auto route' that searches for the best price, and I don't think there is any way to exclude market makers. I could be wrong, but I think that's the deal. I have used the software that they use (through a...

    SuperSOES

I just read up on this. Look at this quote regarding Selectnet: ...preferenced orders to market makers in NNM securities must be at least 100 shares greater than the market maker's displayed size. For example, if the displayed size is 800 shares, your preferenced SelectnNet order must be for...

    Estimated Taxes

I declared myself a trader for tax year 2000, and I have a tax liability for the 4th quarter. I have never paid estimated taxes before. I'm not looking for tax advice here, but I would appreciate finding out how some of you pay your estimated taxes if you're declared a trader. Do traders pay...
