    Trading the S&P/DJIA spread

I do it this way because I have a program that calculates DJIA "fair value" using the S&P as a guide, and it's just easier for me to decipher this way, but certainly pairs are often tracked in the manner you suggest. I use 9.5 for the S&P simply because that is YM divided by ES at this time...

    Trading the S&P/DJIA spread

I am looking to SELL the spread at 22-24. Remember price is (S&P emini contract * 9.5) - (DJIA contract) (ES = 894, YM=8470) or equivilant. Also, I do not put all my capital into the first trade, I leave some free to add to the spread if it goes the wrong way. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of my...

    Trading the S&P/DJIA spread

People have varying levels of experience with spreads, so I'll try to keep it simple. For the beginner, more information about spreads is available on the web, and Stephen Reverre's "The Complete Arbitrage Deskbook" is a notable book on the subject. I trade the S&P/DJIA spread using the S&P...

Trading the S&P/DJIA spread live during the day, I will be sending out buy/sell signals and looking to discuss strategies with others. I have found hold periods to be a few seconds to a few days on avg. Looking for 3-20 DJIA pts. ($15-$100 per contract, before commissions) To keep out the...

    The Ultimate Futures Trading Camp...???

OK, reality check please. SUCCESSFUL TRADING CANNOT BE TAUGHT. I don't care who's teaching. (nothing against your guy) It does take balls to charge $6k for a seminar - your implication that I'm a small time player because I say that, misses the point. What - if he made $100 million, then...

    The Ultimate Futures Trading Camp...???

You gotta be a successful trader already to afford the seminar that teaches you how to be successful. They got alot of balls to charge $6k - could only be in Chicago! :) - but I gotta admit I'd like to see what methodology exactly is worth $6k.

    Need advice about Andover

If you are considering a platform that runs on Citrix, try out that demo extensively. I've used Hammer over Citrix (and worked in IT using Citrix and other "remote control" applications for a number of years), and I can tell you it IS NOT exactly the same as running a "local" application...

    Prop Firm Comparison Suggestion

Houston, Well said. Part of the problem is that there are several people on here with agendas (slandering the competition) in order to attract traders to their firm, since they take a cut or referral fee for new traders. Prop firms' fees vary among their traders. All fees are...
