The easiest and quickest way is to log in to their tech support group website and read technicians' posts..other than that I will try to find the link on the website and post if my time allows..
NOTHING TO BE ASTONISHED about - IT IS TRUE!!!!!! Jus read Matrox website. At least up to 450 matrox was designed for intel chipset and they are KNOWN problems with Matrox/AMD. Perhaps, it has chaged with the latest 550...but not with Matrox 450
voodoo - read the subject @!!! we are talking about BONDS and Emini for TBONDS.. spread is 3-4-5- ticks for Emini Bonds ($15.625 per tick = 1/32); full electronic contract one tick ( 2 x $15.625)
man-o-man.....
I did not spend much time trading bonds but the charts appear to have less noisse than SnP. One thing is that spread on IB for eminis is 4-5 ticks (x $15 and change) and there is not much liquidity unless you want to sell bid/buy ask

I feel like this is becoming academic discussion.. you know sucssesfull traders trading emin with 5k??? Are those traders or gamblers?
I rest my case.. have fun !
As to someone asking a question about trading multiple contracts - the answer is simple : it is so much harder to make money...
The short answer is not - each market has its own personality and the moment you start fine tuning your system to one market it will not perform as well in another. I know some markets that are very harmonic but I can also find a lot that are not. If my system is based on certain behavior that...
i am not going to argue about what is being undercapitalized or not (personal preference) but if someone has 20k and cannot build to 25k that gives me something to think about. Sure you can trade with 20k Eminis.. is it enough to LEARN and SURVIVE and then start making money..I would say NO...
i do no want to sound pessimistic here, but if you are undercapitalized go for swing-trading stocks but DO NOT jump into trading Eminis especially if you are just starting. you will leave money on the table after the game is over, and Emini provides just a quicker way to do that.

That's what I did some time ago! I "promoted" IB to rankings of 'backup broker' and I am thinking that perhaps they do not deserve that either..I do not want to hear more excuses and def explanations..I just want to trade :-)
you guys need to negotiate your commission..if u open account with 5k - what u expect ?
i have seen post stating that with 20k you can get 5.95/RT (eLocal )and then someone was asking a question where you can get $7/RT.??? ...my question is what you have to offer? what's wrong with 5.95...
I have no knowledge of a really successful trader that trades based on some 'room' recommendation and I am not talking about people making a equivalaent of salary of 35k-50k a year and are deprived of sleep and stressed out to the max and risking capital every day.
You will either make it on...
Baron,
"thumbs-up" for your review. good comments. I have stopped attending those seminars as they are, in my opinion, designed for speakers and /or brokerage houses to gain 'new' and unexperienced audience/customers .
Thanks again,

I was watching today NYSE stock (before traded Nasdaq mainly). I can see bid/ask 32.50-32.6 and on time and sales you can see prints going @32.18 and also 32,55 etc. At the same time chart does not reflect this (low of the bar is not 32.18) After couple of this trades we are back to 32.5/32.6...
I am trying to open features/options account with IB.
I am curious about TWS 3.05 version, as I was told by IB customer rep that if I open options/futures account with IB, I will have to go with TWS 3.05 version. With futures only account I couls use TWS 4.0
What are the differences in...
