Why not just make a rule, that all retail orders (or easier all orders with less than 100k $ value) have to be executed at an official ECN, accessible to all market participants. I guarantee you, spreads would decrease dramatically. Just look at european markets where spreads are often much...

There you have your answer. IBKR is us based with subsidiaries in UK and other places. Thus you have to follow the PDT rule. My account is with IBKR UK and there are even additional regulations (such as leverage limits on fx, no crypto, not all structured products)... all by the FCA that apply...

I believe there is hardly any edge in intraday trading using known strategies such as TA in any asset class, foremost in highly efficient random markets such as forex. This techniques might work in crypto but i don't know. Imo you may are better off waiting for special situations whicj require...
