    Bolqwalth, something else that might help is Jack Chan's charts at http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/Favorites.CServlet?obj=ID530404 I have adapted some of his ideas for daytrading. However at DaCharts there is a wealth of ideas you can copy and develop for free. Good luck.

    Would agree with Dan. My suggestion is IB as you will get free real time data and low trading costs. Try Ensign software as you will get lots of free templates from other full time daytraders - this can save you a lot of time and be a good source of ideas. I use Zeroline Trader as an interface...

    Shouldn't diss Prechter. I find his analysis very profitable. Last time I got an email telling me the market was going to crash I went long immediately. Dow went up over 2000 points. No kidding, freind of mine did it too. We need this guy so please be kind to him.

    If you want to learn to daytrade, I'd suggest you avoid stocks and concentrade on Indicies or Fx. The charts are more fluid and don't gap. If you want to make it, be creative. As suggested, you might find the answer lies in looking at chart styles such as Volume, but try Tick and Range as well...
