IB's TRIN data joins the ranks of Screwed-Up?

That may well be the case. I'm just utterly exhausted by trying to get the charting to work properly in TWS. It works ***barely*** adequately. And that's why people use programs like Sierra Chart, but I'd rather not have to rely on another program using the API connection. When I've brought up...

IB's TRIN data joins the ranks of Screwed-Up?

Good luck with IB's support. I have PTSD from the whole experience. As do many others, which is why the platform is so problem filled. People just give up trying to point out what's not working right.

    Global Chart Cursor for TWS?

Thanks. Not the answer I wanted to hear, LOL. But THANKS!

    Global Chart Cursor for TWS?

I'm using IB's Trader Workstation and cannot find a way to have the cursor (in my case set to vertical crosshair) display on all open charts at the same time. It only displays on the "active" chart. This behavior is very annoying when looking at more than one instrument at the same time. As I...

    Current IB streaming chart problem

I watched the video, and I must be missing something. Isn't the bar just updating for the last price? Once a new bar begins, the bar stops updating and the new bar begins updating and changing size and color.

    "Best" Options for Day Trading

I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for options that might be suitable for day trading? I imagine some criteria would be wide daily range, tight spread and reasonable liquidity. I'm conducting my own search, but any insight would be most helpful and APPRECIATED. Thank you very much...

2nd and 3rd Level Pivot Formulas...

Sorry, with all due respect, I don't think asking a question about 2nd and 3rd level pivots formulas is asking anyone to do ALL my work for me.

2nd and 3rd Level Pivot Formulas...

No they are not the same, algegraically or emperically.

2nd and 3rd Level Pivot Formulas...

    I have found a few different versions of the formulas for R2, S2, R3 and S3 here on EliteTrader and other websites. Which formulas do you use? R2: CentralPivot + R1 - S1 or CentralPivot + PDH - PDL S2: CentralPivot - R1 + S1 or CentralPivot - PDH + PDL R3: CentralPivot + R2 -...

Calc Pivots Using RTH or Full Session Prices??

BTW, the CME's numbers are for the FULL SESSION not RTH.

Calc Pivots Using RTH or Full Session Prices??

Yet eSignal uses the CME's full session #'s in their calculations. I don't use eSignal, but a lot of people do.

Calc Pivots Using RTH or Full Session Prices??

I've heard wisdom of both, but what do you use? Full session: 3:30pm of the previous day to 3:15 of the current day. RTH: 9:30 am to 4:15pm. Thanks!

    what f*ck just happened

If exchanges can't bust trades, then you're opening the door for mkt manipulation on a massive scale. It sucks to bust trades, but alternative would pretty soon be real chaos.

    what f*ck just happened

Why there aren't "00" and "000" keys on keyboards used by these places is beyond me. Does it really cost that much more to make a suitable keyboard, esp. when you're trading $B per year?

    Daytrading E-minis

Margin requirements are determined by your broker, so get a complete description from them. As for how hard it is to get 2 points a day out, I'm not doing that, but I'm sure there are many who are or quite a bit better. It all depends how good you are.

Stock Option Proxies for Dow, S&P & NAZ

The margin requirements for all option buys are the same. Even as a PERCENTAGE of price, the daily range of Dow options appears higher than that of the QQQ options. If you disagree, please provide an example (I provided three). Thank you.

Stock Option Proxies for Dow, S&P & NAZ

All ATMs have deltas around .5. If one underlying only moves one half as much per day as does another underlying, then it's ATM's will, in general, move less per day percentage wise or point wise. The percentages from my example: QAV .25/.70 = 36%. Or .10/.35 = 29%. DJX .40/.85 = 47%...

Stock Option Proxies for Dow, S&P & NAZ

You can say the Q's move more than the Dow options. Please explain, because from my perspective, this is just not true. For example, today: The just out othe money 87 DJX call had a Low of .85 and a High of 1.25. A .40 daily move. On the otherhand, the just out of the money 29 QAV call had a...

Stock Option Proxies for Dow, S&P & NAZ

What are your favorite Stock (not Index) options to trade that closely track the Dow; S&P; NAZ. I realize there are actual index options, but options like the Q's don't move all that much, so one alternative might be to trade a more volatile equity's options instead. The DJX's have...
