I think hedgefunds often counter technical analysis imho You'll see trendlines, macd, candlestick patterns not making any sense at all esp during low volume periods where they can manipulate it at will.

I know most prop firms (or at least that one I am in.) have a rule where if you make your Drawdown+$100 it would stop trailing. Now my question is do you still need to worry about the Max Drawdown or it would stop moving along with the trailing drawdown?

They play the odds just like the casino and insurance companies. There is no law against it. But most prop firms would probably put you on a live account if you're that 1%. They also have news rules so terrible traders cannot yolo the CPI/PMI numbers. If they don't put you on a live account...

Prop firms know the statistics. If 95% of traders lose money, add the trailing DD and it's more like 99.5%. Your better off just depositing $2000 and trade micros rather then losing more from fees & resets. At least, if you bust you won't feel like you got bilked.

ET has the most forum users who are consistently unprofitable for the longest time aside from reddit that comes a close 2nd. It's completely understandable why most people here are toxic.
