www.senate.gov www.house.gov www.sec.gov and i also contacted my local representative. check your local listings:D i think i might email daschle too - he can use it as additional ammo since the sec isnt going to take action against enron board (and phil gramm's old lady) :confused...

    --Scalpers and the ISLD ECN--

the ARCA/REDI order flow represents how much of the market? also, tech support for QT stated that ARCA servers have trouble supporting all the data, so the applet price/market depth lag. the problem is that QQQ is an AMEX "stock."

    --Scalpers and the ISLD ECN--

ive had several correspondences with john polise at the SEC. i filed a complaint at the SEC against the SEC! i sent a copy of the complaint to my local representative. let's face it, the SEC is a shill for big money and i dont fall in that category yet! BTW, if that is what they want...

Holy Cr*p ISLD blocked from providing QQQ ,DIA, and SPY full book quotes

what are you guys/gals using as a gauge of market depth. i use rjt to trade - ARCA is too slow, island is closed and the RJT bid/ask are not always (as in almost never) where the true market is? im in the dark. i cant believe they basically shut island down!

    --Scalpers and the ISLD ECN--

the ARCA feed is too slow - the island book is closed - this is like trading blind - i use RJT with QT. im getting bad fills and im tired of refreshing the ARCA snapshot. im going to stand aside until this is resolved. this is just brutal for scalpers!

Holy Cr*p ISLD blocked from providing QQQ ,DIA, and SPY full book quotes

im not starting an argument, but what is dirty about an island fill if someone chooses to route an order there - at least they display depth (or a representative portion of it)? what is dirty, is a MM/specialist holding your order 'til the market moves farther against you. again, didn't...

Holy Cr*p ISLD blocked from providing QQQ ,DIA, and SPY full book quotes

i heard the AMEX was gonna rebate you a tube of Vaseline with every order routed their way. with orders of 5,000 shares or more you get a box of kleenex too. :( with enron, wcom and the rest, it is very encouraging to know that closing the island book was a top priority for the SEC. :eek...

Holy Cr*p ISLD blocked from providing QQQ ,DIA, and SPY full book quotes

 not to worry, you can still send orders to island without knowledge of island's quote! what the heck!!! so the specialist/MM can still hold your order , they still get to see the order flow, etc., but not to worry, you can still blindly direct to island. maybe L2 was...

Holy Cr*p ISLD blocked from providing QQQ ,DIA, and SPY full book quotes

well, there were about 75 million shares traded today - that does not look like their are dying anytime soon. what possible benefit for traders and investors could there be for this? you can tell by my user name, that this is bad news. why not balckout the L2, ban internet trading and...

    Are you ready for this....?

i would study a book on candlestick charting (steve nison). i would re-read it once i really got going. i would study stan weinstein's book "secrets on making money in bull and bear markets" (for basic trend, volume and MA/chart analyses). i would study a trading book such as alan farley's...

    Fun with Fibonacci!

Using the Dow for example. We failed to rally past the 50% retrace from the last big high to the recent low. SO, if the last low doesn't hold, do we get a Fib target for the next area down? IF so, what's the #? thx. robert fischer wrote a book, "fibonacci applications and strategies for...

    Recovering from a bad trade

scale in and fade out - incremental increases to a winning position do not have to be the same as the original stake. scale in additions at 1/3rds or 1/4ths or whatever depending upon the set-up. also, stop losses on additions may be tighter than a trailing stop on the original entry. scaling...

    Recovering from a bad trade

year or two ago, i was waiting to go long on MYGN above 52.14 and ride it to 60 or so. i used to trade MYGN and HGSI kinda in tandem. MYGN comes up right to about 52.14 and dips - so i think, why not short it next time and flip long if it breaks out! so i did short it on the next test of...

    Stan Weinstein

that's a great book- very simple straight-forward approach that is still valid, although some might not using the 30MA as the benchmark MA. i've read it at least twice. what's not valid about: 1) buying a breakout on volume. 2) not buying, but shorting stocks that have rolled over and...

    Don's openings Part 4

maybe you are correct. my point is, if you make close to $200K in your present profession, then shelling out $1,000 or $5,000 for a valid seminar is not unreasonable. again, the cost of getting started is a function of your ability to generate income/profits in alternate pursuits. if...
