I am currently paper trading a gap up / gap down strategy on one particular stock from 6:33AM to 8AM...it's a nice little trade in the morning before I go to work (I'm on PST time BTW) It's doing ok, but I'd rather see a better win %...(hence why I'm paper trading it right now) Win%: 55%...

I hate this rule. I've actually lost profits that I could've made (8K in the last two months) because I got whipsawed out and when I got signalled to get in on the start of a trend, I couldn't. That trend went on to drop 2 points that would've netted me 6K... I'm >this< close to switching...

I don't necessarily agree with your approach to profit taking, but that's irrelevant. You seem to be sticking to your plan. Keep it up.
