POLL: Do you believe that supply-side economics is legitimate economic theory?

Ok, we pay you $10/hour to teach us Economics 101. In the meantime, the government taxes you 95% for the $10/hour you just earned. Do you still want to teach?

    EMA & Stoch strategy

Yes, NinjaTrader can do what you're asking (with or without TradeStation). The relationship between TradeStation and NinjaTrader is: TradeStation can send signals to NinjaTrader. In turn, NinjaTrader can execute your trades with your broker. Bottom line, for what you're trying to do? You...

    eSignal Vs. IQFeed

Right, plugs into NinjaTrader. As for performance, I think the client is for decompressing the data stream. More often, on these forums and elsewhere, IQFeed seems to come out ahead on performance. By the way, Patsystems uses a client, too. NinjaTrader uses the client for the datafeed...

    eSignal Vs. IQFeed

Did you look at IQFeed (www.IQFeed.net)? They have an API, too. I have OpenTick (good grief) but I've been seriously considering IQFeed.

    eSignal Vs. IQFeed

Nice idea... How about this idea -- Create a standalone application that retrieves data from NxCore and populates/updates your local database (MS SQL, MySQL, Access, etc). Store raw data and calculated data (e.g. 20 Period Avg). Use OnBarUpdate() or OnMarketData() to pull your data from your...

    eSignal Vs. IQFeed

Hey Heech, this is mgbloomfield from NinjaTrader forum :) I was curious about NxCore and C#, too. NxCore itself is written in C++ (as it should be for performance). According to this article, NxCore has a C# wrapper, so it should work very well...

    Audited performance

YOU do the calculations then present your evidence in the interview. You should know your numbers better than anybody else. If they like you, then they may ask you to get your statements audited. If so, you'll be able to ask them for their expectations on the audited statements and how the...

NinjaTrader - Stay Away From It!

For me, NinjaTrader works great for me 1) Broker agnostic 2) Data feed agnostic 3) Develop your own custom indicators and strategies. Awesome. 4) Backtesting 5) Charting 6) Real-time scanning 7) Only pay for the license when you actually trade through a NinjaTrader-compatible broker...

Any solution for real-time scanning and trading besides TS RadarScreen

NinjaTrader itself has no symbol limit. You're limited by system memory and your data feed provider. Yes, NinjaTrader has automation based on your trading signals in Market Analyzer. You create or use an indicator that is added to a column in the Market Analyzer. The indicator can trigger an...

Where do I get historical data for emini SP futures?

NinjaTrader has C# language. I love it. Like I said before, once the data is in NinjaTrader, you can export the data from NinjaTrader to a delimited text file for us in Excel or whatever you want. I program my indicators and strategies in NinjaTrader and do my analysis on the historical data.

Where do I get historical data for emini SP futures?

Here's an idea. I've never tried it. Get NinjaTrader (www.NinjaTrader.com) for free. Connect it to IB and have NinjaTrader pull historical data from IB. From within NinjaTrader, you can export the data. Or play with the data within NinjaTrader. Simple. Otherwise, look at...

Prop Firms that require zero or max $2K down?

If I was a prop group manager, my first impression, after reading this, is that your trading is not profitable. As a prop group manager, I would think that 10k deposit would be the least of your concerns if you're a profitable trader. You may be a profitable trader but the "first...

Prop Firms that require zero or max $2K down?

Beggars can't be choosers? Prop capital for leveraged trading is allocated to each prop trader for the purpose of creating profits. The part-time Trader, when he's flying on a plane, is not leveraging prop capital, thus not creating profits, and thus wasting the allocation of prop...
