    Transaction tax in germany

If two exchanges offer a contract with identical specs, then the two contracts will arb any difference between the two. The new exchange will not have the problem of wide spreads normall yassociated with a new contract product. If one exchange charges 2 Euro round turn and the other charges 20...

    Transaction tax in germany

Th German government have made a big mistake here. If they put a tax on coffee, sure people will pay 10c per cup. But futures markets are different. Any country in Europe can set up a futures exchange without the tax and take all the Eurex business. 90% of Eurex volume comes from outside...

Advice from full-time traders on charting software/broker combinations

You can send the money to set up the account then draw out the funds. I don't think you actually need the $10,000 in your account to use the demo. Just leave a few hundred in there to cover the cost of market data etc. Obviously if you want to trade you'll need to top up your account at some point.

My account value reaches $600,000 for the first time; launching incubator hedge fund

Lazar, I'm interested in this incubator concept for proving your performance. How do you go about it? Who audits your results and where are they published? I think its a great idea for successful traders that want to take the set to money management. Runningbear

    eSignal Information Sought

I run continuous future charts in esignal but not for the markets you're looking at. I believe the contracts role over into new chart when the daily volume of the new contract exceeds the daily volume of the old contract. This is usually about 5 days before expiry for Eurex contracts but I...

Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

This is a really good doco on cold fusion. I recommend everyone watch it before making uninformed comments about this technology. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FilflaqbVI

Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

You can believe whatever you like, it will not change the fact that some as yet unexplained process is creating results that do not correlate with our current understanding of science. This demands further research because it is important to every human being. I don't understand the dogma...

    An All-new eSignal Launches...

64 bit architecture means I can use more than 2 gigs of ram. Windows 7 and esignal use about 950 megs of RAM. I collect a lot of tick data and generally run out of RAM when esignal has been open for about 5 days. This is really annoying. When esignal 11 is stable, I can switch and I won't...

Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

You couldn't be further from the truth. Because of the stigma and controversy attached to Cold Fusion research, there basically isn't any funding for it. Most conservative research institutions will not fund it. What your claiming is all these scientists spend their whole lives studying...

Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

Shortie, you a right to some degree, but you are also wrong. Only about 25% of correctly conducted CF experiments yield excess energy. Only about 5% yield significant excess energy. So yes, cold fusion cannot be reliably demonstrated because we don't understand the mechanism which results in...

Sending trades from esignal to twitter

Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

I have an avid interest in cold fusion, but even I see big problems with the potential to scale cold fusion. The cold fusion process usually destroys the cathode. So reactions are not sustained. In other words, the cathode needs to be considered essentially as part of fuel source. Using...

Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

It's called transmutation and it also a by-product of cold fusion. This phenomenon is not new. Many researchers have claimed that tiny amounts of new metals have been produced during cold fusion experiments. However, I have never heard anyone claim to convert nickel to copper before. Again...

Cold Fusion part deux, short every oil, gas & utility on the planet??

There are over 1000 confirmed LENR experiments that have resulted in unexplained heat above and beyond what conventional science can explain. I'm not about to list them all. Most of these have been conducted at legitimate universities and research centres. Do a search for Mizuno of...
