For the rest of this thread, probably 99% of the forks from now on will be forex. I'm backtesting several systems and dont have time or the drive to flip through 100's of charts. Forex will be easier to follow because there are only a few major pairs to watch. Here is a screen shot :)

Covered 250 for 1.33 + 322.50 btw these are sim trades to demonstate the use for forks. Real fork trades are placed on my journal.

Results for gbp/jpy and gbp/chf. Both had good moves last night, but jpy ended up a loser because I had lost more pips than I had made back. - 241.04 I'll post gbp/chf chart later.

These are IB charts? Everyone says IB charts suck, but those dont look bad at all. On trades 4 and 5, did you make money after commission on these .01 and .02 gains?

Will be taking 3% risk max per trade which is 288.00 . Due to last year, I think I'll be doing things a bit differently. I'll do my best to limit my risk to 1-1.5% for the first entry, and as the trade develops, add the other 2 to 2.5% risk. Many of my trades last year just weren't working...

For futures, I take the opening gap and follow price with my channel lines until price retraces about 50% of the move. Once that happens, its fair to say that the bottom (in this case) or top is a significant level. Once I have that high and low range, I take the break, which ever direction...

From now on, I will be trading YM, and NQ off tick charts, maybe some other futs too if I can find some good ones, and forex off 2hr, maybe 15min charts if I feel like staying up all night. Unless I can find a handful of stocks that make some big intraday swings and dont cost a fortune, then...
