I have to take back what I said about TS for scalping. I just checked out there site and they have recently added what looks to be a good DOM/matrix well suited for all types of orders including scalping. If anyone is using it would like to hear comments? see the gif

*In and out trading*? Do you mean scalping? In that case when I used TS its platform wasn't very suitable, might have improved it now. If you use TS you won't need esignal which is a big advantage. BTW I meant saxo bank has wide SPREADS, not margins.

Version 77 IB data used by Buttontrader is data that comes in every 0.7 seconds. Which probably means the depth you see in Buttontrader at each level is actually quite different in reality... By how much? Only those with real tick by tick data can compare...

You could use ensign with the Ib feed. If you get it working let me know; the feeds are good for most futures but for some reason the nikkei doesn't seem to work well on ensign even though it is very accurate on IB.

Yes, exactly. It uses moving average crossovers so is accurate when the market is in a trend.

Scientist, Thanks for your insights on the Dax. I scalp too (although with many ups and downs)and since reading you and Mark have gained more confidence in what I am trying to do.

I have it but haven't used it much and don't use it at all now. I started out to be a swing trader - and vantage point is best suited for people holding trades for 2 - 5 days. But now I am 100% daytrader. I should put it in classifieds oneday.

Since you have IB why not get sierra charts or ensign which use IB feed in real time and are cheap and easy to use.
