    Urgent Message From Rennick

Short call was only good for an afternoon scalp. The signal ends up in the "wrong" column, but you didn't have to get spanked on it unless you entered and held blindly. And - as Scarlet O'Hara said - (Monday's) another Day!" :D

    Urgent Message From Rennick

I agree with this too. Except I didn't look at Rennick's posting as meant to be that comprehensive. I see it as a market overview. The particulars are left to the reader. Reading through some of the more acrimonious posts, it seems some are looking for chat-room style calls, which (unless...

    Urgent Message From Rennick

Short ES 14:45 EST I think Rennick's posts are hilarious. Frankly though, assuming you actually have a preferred entry trigger/stop rule, I would look at Rennick's calls as a guideline and then you would act based on your own preferred method. Presumably you have one. If not, then...

Yank Bernanke's Ass Out of The Chairmanship, and Put Jeffrey Lacker In There - Now!

Franklin became like Claude Rains' Invisible Man after he took the money and ran. Who's been in charge of Fannie for the past few years? How much is he getting paid? And how much of the subprime swill did he make FNM inhale to earn his money? Is he a Democrat?

macd indictor lags, is there software that doesnt

It ain't the software. MACD is a derivative of price moving avgs. The larger you make the lengths, the longer the lag will be. Price action using market structure works. Indicators can too. Mix-n-match.

Going to Consult a Programmer - Advice Appreciated

Does he program in the platform you intend to use? (if that's relevant to you). Past references (basically quality control). How much of the vernacular you use does he understand (he may or may not have a grasp of the terms you use). What's the most difficult thing he's dealt with in...

Difference between IB time&sales and owndata

Actually, this might be an interesting exercise to do with friends who are using different - and even the same (maybe you are attaching to different farms/servers) - data vendors: Compare what should be equivalent charts and see if they match up or, if they are mismatched, by how much...

I have the opposite problem of every losing trader who posts a journal

Agree 100%. Just "Buy" and "Sell" isn't a system. Could you have made money with the rules that popped up these Buy/Sell msgs on Fri? Maybe. Maybe not. Without knowing what is making them show up, how can you be sure? If I know what is in it, I would know when it might not be...

Bloomberg on BSC Collapse - New

Sure companies buy puts to hedge. But deep out of the money? And right at expiration? That implies they know it's going out of business. And immediately. Or it was a really lucky guess on price. And timing. :D

    The Price Action Journal

This is an interesting. I tried to codify some things I would look for visually and got a general outline look of it. Rules would have to added to filter out chop-noise though, like only taking a move above a prior high or below a prior low where a price might be warning of turning. Oh well...

Ron Paul Humiliates Ben Bernanke so bad that CNBC had to cut him off.

I think you are leaving out the time value of money. That was what Paul was also saying. If I print more money and get to use it first, it buys me what a dollar buys TODAY. By the time all that extra money ripples out through down to the rest of YOU, it is inflationary. So there is almost...

Ron Paul Humiliates Ben Bernanke so bad that CNBC had to cut him off.

I saw that Ron Paul part too. Not sure about the "clown" part. He seems to be trying to explain to people something they are not used to thinking about. His "inflation is a tax" is not the way most people may look at inflation. It has the same affect though - lowers your ability to spend.
