Daytrading or any other form of trading is very hard, but then what isn't? I work for a big global company and it's damn hard work and very stressful. :D

I generally use options to day trade. It is much harder than stocks and you cannot scalp due to slippage. But on high momentum days I do very well, rest of the time I scratch. Making profits is the easy part, it's holding onto them that is difficult.

Success is directly related to what you set out to achieve. Must get myself a comfy chair and a few more buttons to press.:cool:

Actually the weekly S&P is showing an almost perfect H&S pattern. Thing is with the Dow the turks won't let it get to 300. It is only 30 stocks and they will just buy every single one of the outstanding float if necessary. However, 50 DJX puts at 94 bucks in the money would be a nice pay day...

So if you took all of the earnings for each trader and then divided by number of traders to an average......voila, that's how much an average daytrader makes (although it is still skewed because the drop outs don't get counted). Can you do that sum for us out of interest. Cheers Mike
