I don't get why people use these 3rd party apps to program strategies. Just use the brokers API, when you add 3rd parties in the mix that just adds an extra technological component which isn't totally compatible to the original version. Also the 3rd party apps never have the sophistication...
If you have a limit order to NYSE is that order eligible to participate in the opening cross? I'm pretty sure the ans is yes
second, if a limit on open order and a regular limit order are at the same price. Who has priority?
Is there any restrictions for cancelling a NYSE regular limit...
you can just go... file >> Print Summary
and then if you want your trades go to File >> Print trades. Save it into a notepad, and then open it up in excel
If you are interested in programming PM ME. I'm familiar w/ Laser, Sterling, IB, and Lightspeed, and learning others is pretty much easy
I am flexible. I am willing to do it for free providing I can get some equity, or I can charge.
About 2 years ago I traded for a firm that cleared through goldman. I remember their "SMART" router would fill you can .0199 and make you pay .25 / 100, when there is an EDGA order sitting at .02

I thought the SEC was thinking of putting a crack down on the broker internalization where you see prints go off @ 3.0199 and 3.0185 etc
any word on this?
thanks
Well actually I'd love to know a strategy that worked and continues to work, but I don't think that's gonna happen.
But if you have a strategy that worked, but just isn't profitable anymore, shoot me a PM. Throughout the year I have figured out several edges that might be able to be applied...
Sterling was working, and then I did something using the API and noticed it got buggy. When I logged in it doesn't even load. I realize it is a Sunday, but Sterling still loads on Sundays.
So I uninstalled Sterling, and went to Program Files >> STI and deleted that file. I re loaded...
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the guy took some massive loan (in the millions) from the company aka other traders money and couldn't pay it back.
That's what triggered the SEC's action. They busted them because of that, not because of the sub llc, they just busted w/ the sub llc...
Basically I'm looking for a list of the most active ETFs that represent a sector.
Like XLF is financials
Does anyone have a good list or a link to a website. I have tried googling but not luck
THanks
