So I called for a price on the same product in Chicago and New York.
Spoke with a guy in New York and he told me $1,000 / month with a thick snotty new york accent. I thought he was ripping me off
Spoke with a woman in Chicago and she told me $1,000 / month with a genuine soft spoken...
If you look at the stocks like C, or S.
You'll see once a certain price level is taken out it is a RUSH to fill the new bids or offers, and whoever can get there the fastest has a huge edge, as you are first in line to be filled.
Now I have to imagine there are several co-located...
I've been trying to get a-hold of them for the past couple of days and when I call their # on their website, I get nothing. Anyone have any other options?

This is pretty much what I'm getting at
Taking---> You have to pay the spread, and the ecn charge
Providing ---> You don't have to pay the spread, receive the rebate but you lose against the algos that control the mkt "only getting filled when price goes against you"

that. Just another example of how the liquidity provider gets screwed.
I like the video don bright posts about how a bright trading can't even get filled long in the flash crash.
you don't have to worry about this w/ posting on BATS. A BATS order will look to hit the BATS book first, and then to the darK pools, and then to other displayed liquidity
So I sent a sell order to BATS and got filled @ 10.5201.
I know that brokers will sometimes internalize their orders and fill @ this price.
But this from the ECN BATS. I called BATS and they said it's a dark liquidity venue. But what I want to know is how do I get to be the buy side of...
Imagine you run this scenario 1,000,000 times
Ball is on the 50th yard line.
0:01 left on the clock.
The offense lauches a hail mary into the end zone.
If you do this 1,000,000 times who will have more points? The offense or the defense?
So I have a server located near an exchange.... only problem is that I would like to install Visual Studio on that computer, however visual studio is installed by disks.
How do I get around this?
Thanks
