    Maxed out credit card.

How difficult ? I think it depends on your income. If your income proves that you can pay monthly payments, you can't file chapter 7.

    Maxed out credit card.

Thanks, you understood me. Some other id.... didn't. I went to the same university, same major, same year with that guy. He was a close friend of mine. Knowing how smart and logical he was, I didn't doubt much of his words.

IB reminds me of Etrade in its early days

Everyone jumps on the bandwagon, and problems start occurring. Even after Etrade IPO, with loads of cash, you still get tons of complaints for Etrade, I never got it. Too many customers due to low commish caused big headaches for everyone. IB might go this way too, no ?

    Black Monday

I've seen this before. Even good news on the Crude oil didn't help much. Nas was down, SP up only a fraction. DJ was up but very average considered after two days of steep losses last week.

    Maxed out credit card.

I had a friend who had an engineering degree from a prestigious University. He thought he was smart until he lost it all, and realize his engineering background my be the cause of his losses. :-)

    Suicidal trader stories

To add to this, that guy was an excellent engineer, graduated from UC Berkeley. Quit his day job at a young age. wasted 7 years in the stock market and lost it all in 2001. Another 5 years wasted since. Watching his friends in recent years making millions in the real estate market, some of the...

    I want to see blood

Nice, thanks. Quoting a well known figure, although I don't know which Livermore was used as reference, is a sign of insecurity. One should base on one's own experience to make a statement, and even so, should state that "it is only my own humble opinion.". Last election, I was so sure Bush...

    I want to see blood

I think if market makers have too much inventories, the will raise they price to sell. If their inventories are low, the deflate the price to buy . It's all manipulations, I think . And market makers have to square out so they won't lose. It's us who will.

I don't know about 1929, but Mark Barton of Atlanta in modern days was certainly not a myth. Many other unknown/untold stories, I am sure. I wonder if the current Housing Bubble will cause anyone to ....

    Offshore Inc. for tax-avoidance trading?

Controlled Foreign Corporation (CFC). An offshore company which, because of ownership or voting control of U.S. persons, is treated by the IRS as a U.S. tax reporting entity. IRC 951 and 957 collectively define the CFC as one in which a U.S. person owns 10 percent or more of a foreign...

I did it!...I just configured and ordered a Athlon Dual Core from CyberPowerSystems

It is two different CPU in the same box. The Windows OS has to be configured for Multiple CPU, and then the task manager will assign the Loads accordingly, if you have diiferent programs running at the same time. Say diiferent trading programs processing data concurrently, at the same time...

    Offshore Inc. for tax-avoidance trading?

I read somewhere that if a US citizen only only 9 percent of a foreign Company, he doesn't have to report anything. Say if I have a close relationship in Vietnam, would I be able to set up such that I own only 9 percent of a foreign struction in Cayman ? I guess then the person in Vietnam...

    avoiding taxes

I am interested in learning more about this . I don't really need to withdraw money, but I really want to keep all profit in an offshore account, and keep trading years after years. And when I do withdraw money, I will report income. Is this possible ? Or IRS would still go after you ? Kinda...
