    My experience was similar. There were big lags--sometimes as long as 30-60 seconds--in updating the inside bids and asks today. My basis for comparison was watching Level II within eSignal.

    I think fast fills in that case can be explained more simply: panicked sellers are nailing your bid or greedy buyers are nailing your offer as they see prices moving away from them (and toward you).
