Morons Become Victims in $50 Million Scam to Sell Gold Bullion

Methinks this sort of thing has less to do with the abuse of faith and more to do with simple greed.

13? The way I read what he said was that the FTT would be at bars 6 - 8, then reverse long and hold through the B2B associated with the RTL break and continue holding long till P2 is reached. Then reverse short for the retrace, 2 - 3 or more bars, and finally reverse long till the ending...

When the Boolean constraint is violated, it is not a question of what does or doesn't work best, one simply dumps whatever notion it was that formulated the condition. In this case, the notion that an IBGS bar which pierces a lateral boundary (with or without a volume determinant), terminates...

    The Redistribution of Perceptions

From Reuters: August 27th, 2009 Keeping Wall Street’s hands off the collateral Posted by: Matthew Goldstein The idea of prohibiting derivatives dealers from reusing and redeploying the trillions of dollars in collateral they’ve taken in from trading parnters is gathering steam...

FWIW bmonte, I'm using XP with SP3 and the 1000.12 release of NT. Have always had problems getting palinuro's DOM script to load but was able to get around it in the past by going the "NT 6.5 (My Documents) to bin to Custom to Indicator" route. This time couldn't fix things with that workaround.

Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

Have just returned from yet another visit to computer hell (of the .dll type). My salvation required that I do a reinstall of Ninja (amongst other things) and for what ever reasons, no matter what I do, palinuro's "DOM" script will not install. I keep getting the error message " Import...

Would you not agree that the snippet I posted above clearly shows that the IBGS volume must be 'rising' (increasing compared to the volume of the prior bar) in order that the lateral be terminated? The fact that this is an overnight 60 min ES is not of consequence. As a followup to an...

Bank Of America Says 2nd Half Profitability Tougher Than 1st

Sounds like it's time for another infusion (transfusion?) of capital from thin (and getting thinner) air.

Hmmm. Let's see if I remember the lateral protocol. Yes I do. As I said, come up with something better. As an aside, a lateral very frequently reflects the overnight price action, especially on a 60 min timeframe. Memo to innersky. Booleans deal with perceived absolutes, for want of a...

Thank you very much innersky for the 'lateral tuneup'. Indeed it is more accurate however as you will see in the attachment, it appears that there is no volume constraint on the 'ability' of a 'piercing' IBGS to terminate a lateral. Do you think you could address this? TIA

Thanks palinuro for the update and the well taken point re 'time synchronization'. What DP (other than another broker) have you used for the index data? I know you can get it from IB but have tried to find some NT-friendly outfit and have not yet been successful.

Indeed it is a broker version, palinuro but as I have bemoaned elsewhere, my capitalization level is low enough that I can't cough up for the fee. What prompted the whole thing was the 'carryover' problem with pepe's tool, as has been elaborated in the posts immediately above. There wouldn't...

    Iterative Refinement

    1. I am well aware of Spyder's thoughts on gaps and do not agree with his reasoning. Since he gets meaningful results from his manoeuver, otherwise he wouldn't be doing it, then he is welcome to continue to do it. In a like fashion, I get meaningful results from not neglecting the gap. 2...

    Iterative Refinement

IMO, one of the sources of confusion for new people trying to learn the method is a failure to appreciate exactly how the trading day is being looked at by different practitioners of the method. There are three scenarios as best I can ascertain. 1. The day in isolation view in which each...

    Iterative Refinement

Hey romanus. If you're kickin' around out there, would you agree that as long as there is a sliver of blue sky between the top (for a long) of a bar which is being considered as a possible FTT and the LTL towards which it had been moving, then it can continue to be considered as a possible FTT...
