I don't know much about real estate, but it sure sounds like home buyers are getting suckered by low mortgage rates. They don't realize that as mortgage rates rise, demand for real estate and the value of their homes will drop. :eek:

I can't believe the cops are letting him turn himself in. The guy is LOADED. He could afford to hide out on the moon if he wanted to. Hell, if he's a real criminal he probably hired somebody to plan an elaborate escape for him years in advance.

Probably the $1000 was just a very tiny portion of his capital. He took huge risks with it (hey its only $1000). And got lucky.

I simply mean any high that isn't broken within one's investment horizon. Just a pet peeve of mine when its suggested that buy and hold is some kind of strategy. Or that investing is always less risky than trading.

Of course buy and hold has worked historically. Look what has happened to stocks in the past 70 years. But that's just meaningless hindsight. You can still easily buy at a long term high, and get screwed bigtime.
