    Buying a diagonal spread

Yes, I realized that I called it a diagonal, and it is really a calendar spread. I was also wondering if I am assigned when the stock is at 80, would it be best for me to hold it for a while to see if the stock price floats up in the hope that the put option I still hold would not decrease in...

    Buying a diagonal spread

Thanks for explaining that. I assumed that my max loss was $4, but certainly under $7 in any event. I have never been assigned, so I don't know exactly what takes place in the event of an assignment. I was wondering if I could get assigned overnight, and if so, would any fluctuation put me at...

Should I care how wide Bid/Ask Spread is???

No, it is not a big deal. It is super easy to get filled at the price. I am just surprised that it seems so hard to get filled in between the bid and ask on SPY spreads that are tight and where the component legs have very high volume. I was wondering why this is the case.

Should I care how wide Bid/Ask Spread is???

I've found on the example of 12.40 - 12.90 that I can usually get filled at 12.75, but not nearly as often at 12.70. Also, like you said, spreads seem to get better fills with less effort. Although I have found it difficult to get mid fills trading SPY options. Not sure why though, cause the...

How to place a vertical spread order with TD Ameritrade?

Anybody who pays those rates ought to spend a little time shopping around. Also, TOS will negotiate with frequent traders, but they will still be overpriced.

Should I care how wide Bid/Ask Spread is???

I think you trade options a lot. Can you please tell me what price you are usually able to be filled at if the bid is 12.40 and the ask is 12.90? Thanks.

Trading, Poker... What else is there?

Rearden, Poker is far from dead. You might consider attempting to become good enough to regularly beat the current games. I know you don't like live poker for various reasons, but online poker might still be the way to go if you are seeking intellectual stimulation and a real long term...
