:) At first I wrote "more like 10M" but then my recollection was slightly fading towars "sub 10M", so I edited my post. Think you are right this time, it was above 10M. :)

Motive seems great judging from their website, but they did not answer my questions a couple of years ago.

I know a few HFMs reading here, but they do not contribute anything. It was sub $10M for the 15 feet of dead tigershark. But Cohen paid $100M for a Jackson Pollock and a Andy Warhol.

Agree. But - compare it to racehorces. Only a very few % can win race after race. All the rest are forgotten as losers.

I do not know if GS themselves hold positions or not, but I do know that they follow the stocks their customers have interest in. A brokerage would very seldom analyse a company if they were not holders/pushing it to customers. Thats the function, its not to please the media and us ET-traders.

Second that. Making a joke out of anothers attempt to create a trading system is quite childish, regardless of what you think of their strategy.

oh forgot, the so called prime brokerage is the total "package" solution HFs get. im not sure if you can get it or not with 1M usd, but i doubt it. they offer about everything you can wish for, leverage, they do the clearing, hey they can even set you up in nice offices :) the service...

AUM is short for Assets Under Management Most often used about tha administrative company, not the HF itself.

Excuse me Mr. Bright, no wonder you guys have done a lot of great stuff, but what exactly has this got to do with starting a HF?
