No replies would seem to indicate no problems with payouts. The one person I know who has traded with WTS said he didn't have any huge issues. I'm satisfied.

Would like to hear your experiences about payouts from WTS, if you make some profits do they always pay on time? If you are not so lucky and fail to profit do they return your remaining funds promptly?

Thanks for that. I have started using Ninja Trader for back testing - it has a strategy wizard that makes it easy to program your rules I'm quickly realizing that my 'great ideas' don't stand up very well - nice reality check. Lot's of work to do, and doing it obsessively.

I would like to backtest my trading ideas. I am a very short term trader so I need something that can backtest based on intraday data , tick data is preferable, but ordinary 1,2,3 minute bars would do too. Can anyone throw this dog a bone? What do you like to use? Thank you.

Looking at ES one-min bars - some of them moved 5 points in a minute. If it takes more than 3 seconds to get filled on a heavy volume day then you need to get a better broker before they make you broker than you already are.

The two crashes I was referring two are the 1969 crash and the 1973/4 crash. In the latter the low was retested 9 weeks later. The 1987 crash was a bit different because it dropped 20% in one session, so I'm not looking at that as a comparison.

Based on the history of crashes it would seem very unlikely that such an area would be penetrated as we have already reached , in percentage terms , the same low levels as previous crashes. History repeats. I'm banking on it!

IB requires $10,000 minimum and leverage is 2:1 . Don't know about that other shop, but it's set up as a prop shop so I guess there would be plenty of leverage.

IB charges $1 per hundred so $1.50 isn't bad at all - especially considering that you can trade all day without worrying about the PDT rules shutting you down after doing 3 trades.

As an independent trader you wouldn't need a visa unless you went to the authorities and explained that you were earning a full time income from trading, and in that rare case you could sponsor your own visa. I guess if big $ were involved they would eventually catch up with you.
