interesting ideas - for life in general as well as trading.
A few weeks ago i came across this article which was interesting and covered the idea of shame and behaviour modification dealing with hardened criminals.....a good read for those interested, and if it only does one thing, it shows its...
Sierra chart gives a reason for this similar question
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails34.html
Ultimately it is all about scale, pixel size and different date/time precision etc, and I dont think there is much you can do about it......but I am no expert on it.
As an...
FWIW - I used to think it was largely about controlling emotions, ego blah, blah. because that is what you read and everyone tells you.
Personally I think that is relatively easy - its a job....every job has its ups and downs. If we did not kick ourselves for our mistakes we would never learn...
Its a good question.....A: both.
The Delta is the change in the option price ....this is made up of 2 parts
If the underlying moves, then by implication the intrinsic part changes as well when ITM, as well as the extrinsic part.
However, if it is OTM, and intrinsic is 0 then it is entirely a...
You are missing the crucial point that delta does not change the price.
Delta reflects what the change in price will be for a change in the underlying.
example; if the underlying price does not change but the volatility changes then the option price will also change.
Hence why (and yes it can...
yes, if you can show that you can capture that in a sufficient win loss ratio. Only a history of actual trades will show this. Positive expectancy etc; etc;
However my 2 cents, I personally dont think the ratio is enough as there is little margin for error. Especially if human discretion is...
FWIW - The Australian stock exchange seems to have less issues with it precisely as it is a single market (right or wrong)

insufficient information
plus I would divide it up
sound business - what is the business?
and financial sense - applies to different business models and situations.
There are way more moving parts and influences in the real world plus its a single data point.
1..liquidity and price.....sometimes the best way to hedge something is not the cheapest. So you might have to make do.
2...dont forget some MM get given their positions as they are price makers not price takers. Often you simply spread risk as best you can. If you are in stocks there are also...
I dont use TOS but this thread seems to imply the SIM trading on it is not very accurate.

Your best best is to try with 1 contract and only that will give you an accurate assessment
do you mean, when a wealthy philanthropist donates stock they own to a charity, they get the tax write off at the market price at time of donation?
As maybe opposed to them having to sell stock, pay tax, then donate cash?
one problem with FX is the gaps can be pretty large, the moves occur very quickly, and they can be completely one way sometimes with not much in the way of pullbacks, and the whipsaws can be horrific around numbers, that can quickly undo a lot of good work.
IMHO You would need a modified approach.
