Very nice! What do you trade mainly?

$3700/mo from my trading account (that includes all my noob mistakes, as I've only been trading 4 months); $3750 from my significantly smaller IRA accounts. I'm rather conservative in my IRA's and trade aggressively in the trading account. It appears conservatism has produced the greater gains :)

One more thing: I only trade ITM options now.

I started trading options in March and only traded front month at first because they were cheap. My first trade was a low risk, but ultimately worthless, pre-earnings trade. IMHO avoid the volatility of front month options pre-earnings unless you a) don't mind a loss, or b) put on a strangle...

GNK's chart looks good. I day traded them twice very profitably way back when in the nearly rebounding heydey of dry bulk (6/4 & 6/5). Where's our resident expert Cygnus Atratus:p

I started trading options a couple months ago and use PowerEtrade very successfully. Excellent execution, linkup of options and underlying on watch lists with all charts visible. Just be sure on complex spreads to use net credit/net debit; market orders will not necessarily get you market...

Definitely pick your max loss and if you can't keep good on a mental stop, place a real one immediately. If a short term trade isn't going your way, take the loss and re-evaluate it. When the market turns against you fast, nothing beats a hard stop. Sometimes the speed of a reversal is downright...

Yesterday's reversal signal end of downtrend for DRYS was mighty weak...I still think it might test that $60 support .

It's rallied in pre-mkt, too, setting up for nice profit as soon as the decline is signaled.

I have to use ARCA on reserve/show qty orders; cancel/change the whole day long - etrade doesn't charge anything.
