GGSAE, that's my take on it exactly. They're strong companies, and if you're a long term investor, they're priced well, even though they may test the 200 SMA's in a bear market, they'll rebound and continue to climb. And if you're a day trader, the moves just don't get any better.

Agreed, and I think they may test 200-day SMA's, but a bounce off that will make you rich and day trading these babies has been like an ATM machine for me.

Sold my calls .40 cents below the day's high when POT failed to break resistance the 2nd time. Knew it was all over then and got out! Nice profit, which covered some of my losses today.

Back testing is not a strong mirror of actual trading, IMHO. Have you tested in real time with a simulator that accounts for such variables as execution, slippage, etc?

Update: I was certain POT earnings were 7/31 before the open. I found out they're tomorrow before the open. Long 10 calls; gonna try to get some sleep now :eek:

Escaped my dicey overnights with small profits in the first 5 mins, then POT handed me the gift of testing 205 support. Holding CNC short overnight. Holding a second round of POT calls from end of day test of 198 support. +1339 All Monday's losses covered now :)

Came back from an early -$345, ended +$889 :)

I think we'll see $144 before the rebound.

I planned to day trade AAPL AUG $180 calls today. If I was planning to keep the trade in play thru earnings, I'd make sure I was willing to lose the premium, or I'd sell part of the position prior to earnings. I'm making an assumption the stock will move up significantly today after the selloff Fri.
