Two ways to make a HOD or a LOD reversal. Today is an example of the fast way to a HOD. Price got a small top and retraced, then a rally that took off the stops and generated very low volume and "fast" rejection (no time). Entry on a sell stop just below the high volume print near the...

    Day-Trading 2.0 for small traders

Amitman: Have you changed to only price volume charts as per your chart in "the other" thread?. Or only for the journal exercise?. Your posted chart triggered this idea in me: 1-Most "triggers" including the 123 used in your chart can be programmed to display automatically, even before...

Observations from the Village Idiot: 1-VOLUME is out as "indicator" yet it is present in each bar as a 10,000 constant. Therefore volume is present as a subjective INDICATOR in the speed at which each bar prints. Some bars take a lot of TIME to print and some others print in nanoseconds...

    Ninja/Zenfire

Hi Anek. With some brokers like Velocity Futures X-trader can be had for a slightly higher commision rate per contract, and no monthly fees, for low volume traders. Higher volume traders can negotiate their commission, as you probably already know. An alternative to X-trader with comparable...

Poll: Is it humanly possible to capture 3x ATR everday?

I think it is humanly possible to write a computer program that operates on a G2 engine that can scalp 1 tic every minute on average on small size. Look at a 1 tic chart and see how much goes on every minute. I don't know if someone has done it, yet. But I know of a couple of people working on...

    Day-Trading 2.0 for small traders

159 ticks over 2 days... If you can do that consistently with size, then you are one of the top 0.5% traders in the world. Well done. There's no way no know for sure till the executions are real. In any case, good progress man. Can you post a chart with all of yesterday's trades?

    Day-Trading 2.0 for small traders

Maybe I like to KISS as much as possible, but here it is anyway to set a target (very hard thing to do predicting the future): Take the extent of the last wave and factor it by a number less than 1 (play with it) and exit at least a partial amount at that target measured from your last wave...

    Day-Trading 2.0 for small traders

Great thread. On my second read now. Only useful comment now is that maybe CLN8 and/or USO are more liquid to trade than QMN8, and provide better fills, especially for short term scalping.(this refers only to last step by step PBP). Sent doc request to amitman several days ago. TIA.

    Index futures timing

Hi Movetimer: Would you kindly discuss July 05 points to see how you view things in context?. I chose this date, one because it was yesterday, and two because the points did not lay at extremes in the shortest term. Thanks for your attention. alea

When you post those times, what's the window of time width?. i.e.: 10/05 +/- 1 minute, +/- 5 seconds, or +/- 5 minutes. I notice the charts you display are of 5' bars approximately, and hence I assume that the tolerance is about 3 minutes, but I might be wrong. A lot can happen in 5 minutes...
