I was given crude oil at my firm as CL/06J.NX today. Is "J" the right part of the month to be using now? Sorry I am new at nymex so dont know this stuff. Also for gold do I just substitute GC for CL? Thanks

I've noticed on a certain stock ive been trading a lot that i might be long, offering out say 2000 shares at 50 cents and there might be about 5000 at that level.... then on the level 2 it will turn my nyb level into 100 (or sometimes take it 3 or 4 levels up and turn it to 100)... and then...

ok can anyone hear name a firm that gives a decent payout and charges per TRADE rather than per share? with my volume and default share size its a little to costly for me to pay per share...

if you would rather get 50% payout with no liablility than get paid 80% with 5k deposit you have some serious trading and/or money issues...

The no liability part is great for beginners, but really negligible for a seasoned trader.

i appreciate the individuals on this thread stepping up to recognize swift... which is a great place to learn and if not for them i would probably never made it as a trader. However as I mentioned in my initial post I have yet to see an honest and reliable firm and this includes swift...

hey i started at swift myself... if you dont thnk ure being overcharged on fees sit down one day and calculate ur charges.... there's a reason the average swiftie pays over $500 in commissions every day.

I'm trading with my 4th prop firm right now... all of whom have been mentioned extensively (both good and bad) on this board. I have had at least minor problems with every single one of them from being overcharged commissions, hidden fees, late payments, lying to me about my check be sent out...

i was trading nem too and those prints distorted my nem chart making it very difficult to interpret! it was weird how there were so many out of range prints in such a short period of time.... something was going on

stay away from these guys... poor customer service, unstable platform, late payouts, it can take up to 2 weeks to get your net p/l for a certain day... ridiculous! One of the most amateur operations i have ever seen.

Im going to be starting at a prop firm and have a choice of the following... Omni Pro, Sterling Pro, Real Tick, and Laser. Which one of these do you think is best? Are there others out there that are better than these platforms? Thanks

One thing i notcice among the nyse stocks i trade is that they may appear to have thick levels on the offer for several consecutive levels, but when they begin to rip all these levels magically disappear making it almost impossible to get out due to lack of liquidity. Since this is consistently...

i have never heard of lime brokerage... but no matter they are not charging for it as long as it fills within 5 minutes even if it routes to nyse. why are some brokers i am going to charging 0.0004 per share if it fills thru nyse. is this the correct charge?
