    Critique this trade? $SMCI

i don’t know, I like the RSI as an overbought oversold indicator. I used to think once I was out of a position, move on. But I’ve changed my thinking on that. Yeah, I’m being a little bit of a wise guy getting out hoping to buy back a few points lower. But why not. These stocks don’t go...

Wonder if AMAT earnings beat tonight could be a catalyst for Semis tomorrow, in which case I kick myself for selling. But I bought some AMAT just now after hours, it was only up 2%. Stop,5% below my buy point of $10.05, low risk trade I’m trading small right now. So if SMCI goes because the...

Apple ... SELL it all and close out all LONGS

You sound like an idiot. But I hope your right. Speaking of idiots, I sold the October 140s at $9.28. So I too, am an idiot. But I hope you’re right. Short term.

I’ve got a couple of guys I follow on Twitter who I follow, two inoarticular whom I like a lot and think are pretty smart and experienced. One has a really good service, posts before the open and after the close, with charts from marketsmith, and comments, actionable ideas, etc. the value for...

it wasn’t on my radar when it was $54. My rule is stock in an uptrend after breaking out of a base, then pulls back on low volume, is worth a look. (I know that’s not a hard rule, I don’t use hard rules, I look for charts that meet that criteria.oh, maybe that’s a rule.

ugh. Somehow I knew you would be the first to chime in LOLOL. Followed my rules on the buy Followed my rules on taking partial profit at 10% gain. Didn’t really have a rule on closing out the position other than expecting a pullback after a parabolic gain and respecting overbought as indicated...

I bought SMCI a week ago, at 64.22. The setup was a bounce after a pullback to the 10 day. I closed the position today, first sold partial, then closed the rest of the position. Average selling price was 71.40. My reasoning was I had a nice profit in a short time, the stock went what to me...

Ok, so here is my result for the month, since I’ve been trying to trade with some discipline. These are realized trades, in addition I have 3 trades open, CLR, SMCI, and RELL, with total gain of $200. Seems I could’ve done better, down 2.1%, SPY is up a few % in that time. Been keeping trades...

Guys like that are not only annoying. They suck valuable time from you. That’s why I used the ignore button. Anyway….back to the thread topic, which I’m very interested in…

That’s what I figured, scrolled back but couldn’t find a comment that would be obviously directed at. Unless maybe Jack Morgan, who I just put on ignore.

Interesting thread. Following because I’m struggling to come up with a definable edge. if you are consistently profitable, you must have something that you are doing over and over again that’s worked for a long time. It sounds like Capital Structure Arbitrage is your edge, no?

ok, just realized, the ignore button has a useful and constructive function here. Done. Hate doing that, but my time is way to valuable and in short supply

Somebody should do something about this guy. He’s just littering on otherwise very useful threads. I’ve been on many drums over the years, moderator on two of them. Jack is probably one of the biggest examples of trolling and littering that I’ve ever seen.

As a new wannabe trader, I’m liking this thread. Thanks. what kind of patterns are you looking for in your longs in a bear market, since breakouts haven’t worked much (I’m assuming we are still in a bear.
