    Washington State Corp Tax

You might want to get a good trading accountant, as this was a huge point of contention last year and caused us to change accountants. Ideally you put your trading funds into an limited partnership (LP). This is run by your management company (LLC) which runs the day to day operations, pays...

    $100m IRA?

I'll buy that I guess. I do wonder what the IRS would think about such cheaply priced stock/options, but they probably won't even look. It's a good trick I suppose.

    $100m IRA?

Mark Gorton, (America's answer to Richard Branson) founder of Lime Brokerage, just lost about $100m to the RIAA because of his company Lime Wire. He was warned this could happen. link: http://news.cnet.com/8301-31001_3-20062418-261.html "They noted he possessed $100 million in an IRA...

Penson (PNSN) stock down on heavy volume

You aren't the only one. My understanding is that SIPC covers up to $250,000 in cash. The extra Penson coverage *allegedly* handles up to $2.15m or $600m across all accounts. See this: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=3183374

Penson (PNSN) stock down on heavy volume

Thank you. I did not know their excess coverage was only up to $2.15m cash. That was valuable information that I don't believe is posted in other places.

Genesis is in the 1-2ms range. If you are not colocated AT THE EXCHANGE this is about as fast as you are going to get. Their trading protocol, GTP, works with java (or any other language). Same goes for their UDP feeds.

Genesis Securities is a very solid alternative with colocation. I'm not sure what their minimum account size is.

    Half Cent Execution on NASDAQ

Those reprice at even cents. I am skeptical they will execute on the half cent. I am trying it out and waiting for a price move. No, they don't execute on half cents. Thanks for trying though.

    Half Cent Execution on NASDAQ

I have a question about non-routable NASDAQ orders. I am hoping the answer to this question does not involve dark pools. On a symbol such as "C", it is very easy to take liquidity and get a sub-penny execution, e.g. 4.155. I am unable to provide liquidity at a sub-penny price. How does one do...

Make sure your route is "Island". Under the "type" pulldown, just choose "IOC". The order must be in the opposite direction of the side that has an imbalance. Many people just use LOCs before 3:50 instead.

Why 0.6% discrepancy on expiration day

You have to follow the pattern "19-Dec-08". That was one year ago. They have not posted today's yet. SPY is very efficient and would not track off perfectly by a large fraction of a percent like it did today except if there was a dividend.
