Exactly the same in normal professions.

Now that is crap. There a degrees of success in normal jobs, but success is ALWAYS measured by being employable and making money. We are talking normal professions here, not something nebulous like parenting or the priesthood. If you are a successful engineer, you are employable.

You know what trading success is. Everyone does. It is making money. Now, how much is subjective, but losing money is not success in trading.

If you don't already have a strategy that works, then use demo until you do.

It also cost me a lot money. The problem is with the disclaimers. The good guys have to put them in, the bad guys hide behind them.

I totally agree. When I was looking at day/swing trading, I assumed that since I had success in very technical professions then I should also be successful in trading. The books I read confirmed for me. The hype sucked me in.

The way I read your post was that trading is equivalent to many demanding jobs and if treated as such will lead to success. I guess I misunderstood.

That is a pretty general statement and I disagree. I was a professional engineer for years and switched to software development and did well with both. I have studied charts ad infinitum and took courses and read many books and so far I suck at day trading.

I may just have to buy one of his books just for the prose. lol

BTW, I signed up for the Brooks video course. They are VERY long winded and I had a hard time with them. I kept waiting for him to get to the point and therefore missed the point all together.

Being a programmer, this is the one I would covet. I tried Andreas' book and couldn't get zipline to work. I prefer using the existing stable libs in python.

Tastyworks is a broker, TradingView is a charting package. You will still need a broker to trade with TradingView.
