I think he means to "shadow" their moves. That was actually pretty profitable strategy back in the 90s. Not anymore. This is also true for scalping...until the HFT came on the scene.

Just curious. How are you to know in advance when to use the strategy for the TREND and when for the CHOP? Obviously, you wouldn't want to run both at the same time.

Going all the way back to the early 90s, I could remember there always being a "reason" for every market move. Usually it's the same old spin. But it never ceases to amaze me how traders would fall for that same crap even to this day.
