Do all brokers block seeing book depths?

No, any stock if I open more than three order depths (called Book Trader in TWS IBKR) it tells me I have to purchase more subscriptions. But I am also interested in the same with Forex too.

Do all brokers block seeing book depths?

1- With IBKR basic plan, I get to see maximum 3 books order depths. Is this so with all brokers? Is there another broker or chart provider that allows multiple book depths simultaneously at a reasonable rate? 2- Is getting live stream data from another source and trading on IBKR a risk? i.e. is...

This seems like a good tool and seems it's getting me closer to my answers but I haven't had a chance to explore it yet. If you use this site, can you please explain how this data helps with your decisions? why and how (example please) does this data shape your buying or selling decisions? I...

    When is dividend paid?

Thanks for clarifying it is factual and not statistical. So now I am confused. If dividend is given and price of stock is lowered by that amount then how does the share holder benefit? Let's say today I buy Microsoft at $100/share (only 1 share bought) and I receive $2 dividend the next...

    When is dividend paid?

Thanks to both of you for the details. I don't know if the dividend amount is enough for volatile markets anyway to consider buying them before dividends are announced. However, with so much volatility how do you know that stock dropped because of the dividend? is the drop exactly the same...

    When is dividend paid?

Hi, I am unclear on how much dividend one receives for holding a stock for certain period of time. Let's say I buy 100 shares of IBM at $50 each with 2% dividend / year. How much $ dividend would be paid to me if I buy in any of below scenarios: 1- Buy the stock one day before dividend pay...

Yep, was just reading that news. I used wrong choice of word saying, "Quickly". As for as short position over weekend goes, I forgot it's a Friday (GREAT!). Now, the oil should drop I am assuming because Trumpy's words didn't hold and seems Russia/Saudi are trying to bleed US shale. Anyone...

How to prepare for Sunday open?

Yep, I used wrong words. I can't have it both ways :) I don't have to close quickly. I need to close at best price and can wait if I know it goes back to normal of Friday. Prices jumped like crazy end of day Friday and I don't know the reason for it. So, don't want to cover my position at a loss...

How to prepare for Sunday open?

Thanks! A- Any other brokers are open for any other pairs? Keeping an eye on other currencies is a great idea. I was thinking: 1- To look at the markets that open on Sunday sooner than my local market. I am assuming London opens at 5pm Sunday too which will give me a few hours head start. 2-...

Hello, I have a USD.CAD short position that I would like to cover quickly on Sunday as markets open. What factors play into the game (Specifically for USD.CAD) that are available to be researched on Saturday and early Sunday to estimate the market movement for opening on Sunday? I understand...
