why do funds perform so poorly?

Perform poorly in terms of what? Your expected standard of good old greed in the short run? Look at the track record of Warren Buffet or Bill Miller of Legg Mason on a year over year basis. Do you really think you can consistently do that?

And since when does a MASSIVE OUTSIDE REVERSAL DAY result in further upside? That's your belief system since you are obviously biased long. It's not mine if I feel we are in a downtrend, right? So what is your point on being on this forum? To stick to topic or to bash based on your biased...

I guess you don't know how to hold long term do you. Don't you have any money invested in the stock m arket? Llike in 401Ks or muual funds? Are ou going to wuss out if your mutual fluctuates up and down 1%? You'll be going in and out like a crack addict. I LIKE TO THINK OF MINE AS...

I've seen posts from Apex Capital where he shows you his chart with all the indicators on it, puts an arrow going "up", then a week later the issue collapses and continues to. Granted he has made some good calls. But lets be fair about this - he's no better of a trader than an average Joe...

Proves nothing. He didn't mention his entry or exit. For all we know, he took 25 cents off of it. Or maybe even faded it if he likes to fade breakouts. Nor does it say if he held the position or daytraded it. Unless you go on the line and make the call, it means very little.

Good for you. But you never said what position you took and when you closed them. For all we know, you scalped for a few pennies. And how about all the other failed calls that you wont fess up to. Like the blown call you made that resulted in my personal gain. It takes a man to admit when he...

Most of us? Since when are you speaking for the entire website. Consider that this thread has had not one single person bring up what you said above. How can you go off with that premise when you don't have proof whatsoever. For you to "speak for others" shows you got a big head. And what...

Did you see it! Did you see it! That's what a daytrader focuses on. Not me. Ten cents of random guessing chaos isn't my style.

Short the SPY's or SP 500 futures?

Nice post. I myself use Rydex bear instruments for IRA clients and personal accounts.

    How come there's no capitulation?

And that sounds like yourself. You crap on my thread and when the trade goes in the right direction and I close the position with a gain, you all of a sudden shut up. I give supporting criteria and just because you disagree with it, you continue to trash my thread. Whether you realize it or...

Why bother. Unless there is intelligent discussion in this thread based on the premise in the opening statement, everything else is hearsay and crap. For whatever rationale you use for your trade, whether it be the sun setting in the east in Zimbabwe, grandma taking a dump and missing the...

Of course daytraders like yourself don't. You will eventually get washed out (if many haven't) with low volatility trading environment. This trading is no different than the 1970's. So many of you are conditioned to the last 5 years of trading with high volatility that you are gamblers, more...

If you would have noticed the TITLE of the thread, it read "9/20/05" NOT "9/21/05". The fool who posted 9/21/05 prices misled you. I was NEVER down 3.5% in the trade and FAR LESS THAN THAT (more like less than 1%). Realize, I'm trading QQQQ and I'm a position trader. NOT A FOOLISH DAYTRADER...
