Saxo Bank is cheating customers after SNB removed EUR/CHF floor

i am still stunned how saxo can get away with this - in your case their behaviour looks even more clearly wrong. Once the FBI is done with FIFA maybe they can continue there. Everybody blames the U.S. for being the world cop but there are some areas that no one else seems to want to tackle. two...

UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

If regulators succeed in weeding out false bids and offers, nobody will post real bids and offers anymore for fear of being picked off. Then the HFTs will reduce their size too as they no longer know where the market is. crazy.

CME gets the message. fines some more From Bloomberg, 01.05.2015 04:41:38 CME Group Inc. said it suspended two traders for placing manipulative trades, similar to the ones that got Navinder Singh Sarao into headlines around the world last week. To read the entire article, go to...

IB ordered to pay $1.2 mln for trustee's 'reckless' trades

that is an unusual (and, without further details, seemingly unjustified) arbitration result: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/interactive-brokers-ordered-pay-1-184510479.html

UK trader arrested for May 2010 U.S. Stock market flash crash

Some observations: 1) The complaint convincingly shows that the guy did not cause the flash crash. His program was active for 5 years, but a flash crash only happened on a single day. 2) Spoofing is designed to make money off HFTs who, after seeing a large order front run it. Hunting down...

Highlights from IB quarterly conference call

    - small subset (several thousand) of Scottrade's customers that use complex option trades now will have their accounts essentially at IB - IB bought Covestor for undisclosed sum. Some examples about fee arrangements on covestor mentioned. A manager can set his commission structure up to 1.25pc...

Tudor Jones "Why we need to rethink capitalism"

Well, the top tax rate changed from 50pc in 84 to roughly 40pc today, so that basically explains 20 percentage points of the 250+ percentage points diversion in the your chart following the tables. And, if you use simple arithmetics, you'll find out that the top 1pc today pay a higher share of...

Tudor Jones "Why we need to rethink capitalism"

Well, i think we mostly agree on the side effects of our free market system and also the desire to reduce those. However, 2 things i am not OK with: 1) this conspiracy theory that "the rich" intentionally took from the middle class, and that's why they are rich. As i said, globalisation...

Tudor Jones "Why we need to rethink capitalism"

Capitalism, or actually the free market economy (because these days with ZIRP, "capital" is much less powerful, or look at the way FB and other tech firms are viewing shareholders as a simple form of exit to motivate their well compensated employees) is the best known system, and as PTJ said...

Tudor Jones "Why we need to rethink capitalism"

So you criticise capitalism's profit drive? The drive that lets firms hire cheaper labor from China much like PTJ bought grains on the KCBOT when cheaper than in Chicago, or you buy your tomatoes from cheaper Walmart instead of Kroger? The funny thing is that globalisation and this labor...

Tudor Jones "Why we need to rethink capitalism"

let me add my 2 cents here: 1) PTJ is not nearly so negative on "capitalism" as it sounds. He states clearly that it's the system responsible for most of the advancement the world has seen so far, and surely of his own success. 2) He promotes his "Just" index, which presumably ranks companies...

Saxo Bank is cheating customers after SNB removed EUR/CHF floor

You have a point there. Regulators tend to be very tough with small firms but easy with the large firms. And, for a small country like Denmark, Saxo is large. They provide many well-paying jobs, while the clients mostly are not Danish voters. I expect a small "neither admit nor deny" fine.

Correct. According to what I have read over the years, IB auto-liquidation is not immediate and not always auto, either. http://www.fxcmasia.com/docs_pdfs/the_truth_about_forex_trading_guide.pdf --------- 5. Can I lose more money than I deposit with you? Many forex traders use a lot of leverage, and so run the risk of losing more money than they have in their account. If this happens, your account can have a...
