    Using Trailing Stops For ES

If you use trailing stops, make sure you put them in TECHNICAL areas. It's easy to get sucked in to the emotional game of take profits and "protecting" your profit. If you trail the stops behind retracement levels with strong spt/res, you'll be ok. Make sure you know the possible retracement...

What time does the daily bar close on ES?

do you guys trade pre-market? I rarely do, but with all the volatility it's pretty nice. PS. I'm always flat by 3:55. Post market can get ugly!

    ES brokers...?

$6 round trip?? Ouch.... dude, try: TradeStation Amp Futures Infinity Futures Velocity Futures TradeStation is a sliding scale. The most you'll ever pay is about $4.70. If you make 10 trades a month, the platform is free. I think TS is the best for charting. Amp, Infinity, and...

    Guru Dennis Bolze missing

what a shame... these guys are willing to give up a lifetime of relationships and a good reputation for the cold hard dollar. What's a "reasonable" figure to ruin your name? $20M, $50B??? You know these guys are miserable and won't be able to enjoy their money. (especially once they...

If you're young, pay attention to Madoff.

With the internet becoming so advanced, there is no longer such a thing as a "private life". We are all becoming very transparent- no separation of work life and personal life. I completely agree, we only have one good name. I'm glad we're headed in this direction... hopefully, it will keep...

The Fake Recession! Look At The Growth Of Web 2.0

I don't know if "Web 2.0" is here to stay or not... what I DO know is that the web is evolving at a great rate of change, which will change our market place forever. For example, the line between TV and internet will be gone. Blogs, Vlogs, and information on the internet will greatly...

trend following & dealing with retracements

I use fibonacci retracements and extensions for entry areas and potential profit targets. Then, I use a hybrid MACD/Bollinger band indicator that helps me gauge momentum and spt/res areas. When I correlate Fibs, and my indicator with multiple time frames, the picture becomes very clear...

    4,000/1 Odds

I kind of agree with you, but you're missing one key element. Trading is a SKILL, not a book you read or game you play. It takes practice and dedication... for example, I sim traded for over a year (full time) before I started trading real money. Now I don't think it should take people that...

    Fibonacci Retracement Trading

Hey guys... My trading style is built around Fib extensions and retracements. I use a MACD indicator to gauge momentum, tick charts for price action, and fibs for targets. It's proved to be a very consistent system. I have a few trading videos up on my blog... feel free to check it out...

    ES large contract fills

Are you talking about getting filled at once with no slippage? Really? Why is that? I haven't noticed slippage in a few contracts yet. I'm new to the ES. Before, I was trading the ER2 which could handle 10-20 lots with no slippage.

    ES large contract fills

Hey all, Is anybody trading heavy volume on the ES? If so, what's the biggest lot size you can usually get filled on? I've spoken to some people who say they can get 80-100 contracts filled with no problem. Thx, Chris Dunn

What oscillator(s) do you recommend for scalping in day trading?

Ok, I didn't join this message board to argue with people. But I really need to say this... I was trading this morning and took a short on a pull back, closed at the 61 ext (WHERE IT BOUNCED), re-entered on another pull back, closed at the 100 ext (WHERE IT BOUNCED), shorted again on a third...

Wow... don't be so quick to judge. Please get your facts straight before you go starting rumors... Just because I wasn't interested in talking to someone as demanding and rude as yourself.

    Fibonacci Retracement Trading

Same post to this guy, different forum: I see what you're saying. I don't think there's any special magic in the fib numbers themselves, but it's more of a visual gauge for people. For example, a 50% retracement is a 1/2, and 61.8 is about 2/3. I don't take trades just because I'm at a fib...

mini Russell on ICE...getting hurt or the same?

Not a prop firm in the traditional sense. That business model doesn't really work for e-minis. There's just no need... My consistently profitable traders have access to our managed accounts. Email me if you want more info... chris@dunnventures.com Chris Dunn
