    IB and Size

IMO, IB's strength is ideal for small to mid-size investments. You are right, it is not cheap for large orders at all. But unfortunately through many policy changes such as PDT rules on stock options, they are killing small investors who probably generate more commissions for them. Am I...

the PDT rule needs to go

in some sense you are right, the rules force you to be more precise at your shoot. But it ain't fit my system. My goal is not to pay anything you mentioned, but to make a basic living. You got that? That is for the people at the bottom of the society. :p --- If that can not be done...

    Who accepts me, a daytrader?

JCM2, I was able to do about 10% per month. I hope I will be able to keep as consistent as that for a while. Then I hope to do 25%. My broker will earn more than what I get. :p. But that is the price I have to pay. What do you think? Thank you. :p

    Who accepts me, a daytrader?

aphexcoil who PM-ed? I didn't. I speak publicly and take insults. I know my friends. I know my enemies. I know what I am fighting for. Just want to make a living. That is what it is. Peace.
  8. Q

the PDT rule needs to go

Why not, hard? Freedom to trade in the extend with the money that anyone has deposited and be accepted by brokers per customer agreements. Why PDT rules take away that right in the cases where enough cash are available?

    Who accepts me, a daytrader?

hii a_ooiioo_a, thanks for the explanation. But it may not be necessary to IB. IB was a failure to me anyway. This is not the topic here. Please do not take wrong on merely $2K. I will take care of myself and offer you what you deserve. What I ask for are trading freedom and equality same as...

the PDT rule needs to go

Any lawyer friend here? The law suit can be a big hit, right? Think about so many small investors screwed up by intraday volatility in the past two years. It can be all the fault of PDT rules!!! This could be a great case in the history like those against tobacco companies. Let us know if you...

the PDT rule needs to go

Let's storm NASD at email address pubcom@nasd.com with our opinions on PDT rules. How can we file a dispute resolution against NASD on PDT rules? How can we file a arbitration against NASD on PDT rules? How can we file a classic action law suit against NASD and brokers for the loss...

What is "Market Value" of an Option?

They changed. When I had an account with IB, I had to use check margin every time before placing order. Maybe you want to do that as well. Because otherwise it might cause huge problems later. And I missed buy and sell opportunities. :p

    Who accepts me, a daytrader?

Thank you for your suggestions. But ET and AM have the same annoying PDT margin rule that does not fit my system. You are right. Not only IB is not as safe and high-quality as they are, but IB suddenly applies PDT rules to stock options without notification. In my opinion, they are destroying...
