daytr8r, I feel pretty much the same as you do. I do not know if the only way out for individual traders is getting "incorporated" some day, which means you do not trade for youself but do something for a corporate. :p

Trader are more ken to market crocks than investors are. That's why crocks are afraid of too many day traders especially those small niddles that are difficult for them to catch. Hurt eyes of crocks'. :p

Yes, NASD and its brokers extend the PDT rules to stock options which makes the rules further illogical, insane and evil. :p

Sounds very unfortunate. 5K-10K would need me to trade for year. If you are a sizable trader, there are many good broker choices. :p

In my experience, you just need to stop or downsize. When you get back, you will have a little sense on what was going wrong and just need a little porfit to get back to your (adjusted) system. :p

By the way, say NO to IB. For example, No SSF whatsoever. They are extremely risky (at this moment) to small traders. There are many other ways to say No. :p I told you that you will soon have had enough with 'em one day.
