broke/ unemployed and out of options so i signed up for the military.

This reminds me of a great line from Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Professor: My last just flashed before my eyes. Buffy: So what was it, a big blur of boring books, drinking coffee, and bathroom breaks?

Myth #1. Illegal Aliens Take American Jobs.

" farm workers, janitors, chambermaids, busboys, dishwashers, gardeners, nannies and household domestics. Those are not the careers Americans seek." Janitor? Gardener? Busboy? MIllions of Americans work in those jobs. I can't see how you would say those are jobs American's won't do. Depends...

http://www.kodakgallery.com/gallery/creativeapps/slideShow/Main.jsp?sourceId=533754321803&cm_mmc=eMail-_-Share-_-Photos-_-Sharee I guess these photos could be of any factory in China . . . but if they're from the ONP factory, that's not good news.

broke/ unemployed and out of options so i signed up for the military.

Yeah, this has bad news written all over it. If you're going to do this, it has to be with a better attitude and an idea of what you want to get out of it. Banging Korean whores can't be at the top of the list, btw.

    ONP (possible scam)

No I don't think so. But some companies are more promotional than others, and that's what's happened. A small paper company in some fourth rate city in China really shouldn't be listed on NYSE anyway.

    ONP (possible scam)

For a small chinese paper maker, thestreet.com has been touting this for months.

why people bad mouth mean reversion strategies?

Because mean reversion strategies require leverage and scale, and then they ultimately turn out to be martingale strategies, and martingale strategies are doomed to failure. See LTCM, Niederhoffer, Amaranth, etc.

Idt-c. I got out . . . .bailed out by an appearance by the CEO on CNBC. Life doesn't usually treat you that well. Stock has already traded over 66,000 today . . . so more than 20x usual volume. The stock was trading for more than $2 less than the identical stock IDT . . . I was waiting for...

how to get rid of shares in a low volume stock

For reasons that seemed good at the time, I bot 3000 shares of a stock that trades about 3000 shares a day. Now I can't get rid of them. It's a NYSE stock . . . so how do I get rid of the shares? Put a low limit on the shares below the bid on SMART and hope it gets filled? Route it only through...

Dan Loeb's TPP for 16% off

That's probably why it's still at a discount . . . lots of underwater sellers. Plus, this is a hedge fund traded as a partnership headquarted in Guernsey . . . not exactly alot of natural buyers out there for this. I figure that if Loeb can return ~20% in the next 12 months and get the NAV to...
