CME Planning Europe Exchange To Compete With Eurex, Liffe

There is "tangible client demand" for yet another FX trading venue? In London, above all places? If it were possible to fail harder than Eurex-US, i think these guys could do it.

GERMANY CHANGES THE GAME - Speed Limit” for High Frequency Traders

Most Eurex corporations are in Switzerland by now, if im not mistaken. The only exchange of note affected by this would be Xetra, i suppose.

    R vs MATLAB

I wouldn't call functional languages in a trading role exotic at this point anymore.

    ECN retail liquidity

Not too much to ask? You can try MBTrading - they have a free API, and you can use C# with that. But you will most of the time only get a fill if the market trades through your bid/offer. This is nothing like trading in a liquid stock or future where there dozens of trades per minute. You...

    Charting Software Independent of Platform/Data

Is this a proprietary datafeed with some in-house protocol? If yes, its likely that you need a software that supports the development of dataconnections by the end-user. There are a few. For example Neoticker. It has a SDK that enables you to develop your own data- as well as...

    Liquidity of FX market

There is L2 information on ECNs. For Eur/Usd, a 10M 2-way quote is usually 1.1 to 1.4 pips wide on the better ECNs (Hotspot/Currenex). Obviously depends on the time of day. And obviously on the pair in question. Presumably EBS is deeper still (meaning smaller spread on bigger size). Although...

Penson Sells Its Futures Division to Knight

MB does not go through Penson for FX - stocks/options/futures etc. do, but not FX.

Official End Of Hft - Countdown Thread - 66 Days Left

I did not follow this really, but surely, the UK will veto this BS, as they always do? BTW, as far as i know, Eurex matching is already done in Swizerland, so may not even be affected. Sounds like Xetra would be the biggest loser with this. Chi-X, Bats-Europe etc. are in UK, and most of the...

    ESignal 11.4 Bug Thread

That got me confused as well, thought it was outright broken in the beginning. And i cant think of any scenario where haveing an incorrect y-scale for a plot might make sense.

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

I just had a look at CME's micro contracts again. Apparently bid/ask-spread has improved since the last time i checked a few months ago. Looks like its mostly 1 tick now too, in the EuroFX atleast. Used to be pretty bad.

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

1 to 1.5 pips after commission is pretty much standard. For example, IB or Oanda. They dont requote either. But go ahead pay 3 to 4 on CME if you must..

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

I have actually read the court filing on this racketeering bs case. It has zero substance. Losing clients sue all the time. Futures brokers too, not only FX firms, you know. This is not specific to FX. Plenty of regulatory action against fcms too.

RSJ - latest update or lack of

Its the new aluminium, especially designed to prevent the brainwaves RSJ sends out to enter the poor point&click traders heads, so they can't continue with their evil plan to cheat & frontrun. (My speller is in german, apparently these things aren't bilingual yet)

    trade the E-micro EUR/USD M6E ?

So 2.5 ticks spread on average + 1.75 ticks in commissions + questionable liquidity situation, that doesn't sound attractive to me. You shouldn't really pay much more than 1 pip per roundturn (spread + commission). If you are in the trade for a few days the transaction costs probably wont matter...
