    Confirming long term tops/bottoms!

I have a website. Just google this... "Weekly Outlook – Very oversold. I expect bears to lose control of the market soon and for us to see a couple solid up weeks or so by around mid June. I wouldn’t recommend buying though… Weekly rallies are just counter trend to the larger monthly...

    Trading is gods work...

I was thinking about what Lloyd Blankfein said a while ago... And it really is gods work if you think about it... Both banking and trading. We are taking money away from the fearful and weak and promoting evolution by transferring it to the strong.

    Why I don't watch trendlines...

And you shouldn't either... When you draw a trendline between two cycle lows as a trend begins... Your just following others, and chasing is bad practice in trading... When the market makes it's first higher high in a new trend cycle... Generally those traders setting the following bottom...

    Confirming long term tops/bottoms!

Here was something I posted quite a while ago... You can check wordpress and confirm it's publish date. The most important part is this "If we hit new lows get ready for some fierce uptrends because of the weekly setup." Now, go have fun trying to figure out which new highs and new lows...

    Confirming long term tops/bottoms!

Ill share with you guys a little secret about predicting long term tops and bottoms. It's quite stupidly simple. Just use divergence. A lot of traders exclusively trade off divergence setups because they are so reliable... What is a divergence? When price rallies really strongly for a cycle...

Using MA's to read the tape.

Or you could just say this more simply... When a trend slows volatility increases. Price moving closer to a MA shows slowing in a trend.

Using MA's to read the tape.

It doesn't lag for the determination of volatility as volatility increases because of uncertainty. Price approaching a ma in the 100-200 range creates fear in traders that a potential transition in trend may occur shifting volatility higher.

HFT is great for smaller traders... But rips off investors and large players...

Why I try to only buy bottoms...

You could go try to run some stocks... But generally all the good active small ones already have a bunch of people in there running them and shifting the patterns. It's best to keep a light hand in the markets and not alter their flow... Cramer use to manipulate the futures around by upto 10...

Using MA's to read the tape.

Just like weekly and monthly pivots always have a price reaction to their tests. Certain moving averages are very physiologically important to traders. Just like these recent range breakouts were important to get people buying before Ben Bernanke's speech. As soon as the range breakouts...

Using MA's to read the tape.

I have backtested moving averages before. They work just fine. If you run a backtest... Have it randomly buy and randomly sell after a set random duration of time with a random interval range. When price is over a specific moving average random buying then selling statistically makes money...

    I was working on a micro-scalping system...

Yea, I told him that... He may win 30 trades in a row, but the one trade he loses will cost him 30 handles... LoL!!! I dunno though. A lot of the information out there is false. I knew a guy who couldn't make money with a 1 handle stop and a 1 handle target. Then he started making money...

Using MA's to read the tape.

Depends upon how long you have been trading. I started in 2008. Anyone who is a newbie has under a year under their belt.

How not read the BS on ET?

Digging for nuggets of gold on this website is like panning for gold... 99% is crap but intermittently a nugget shines through. They are easy to miss though because those flecks of gold are usually quite small and hidden away in some random page of a post.

Using MA's to read the tape.

Yea, of course... The most important thing with moving averages for me is using them to predict volatility... The transition zones get very volatile... Works a lot better than VIX as it doesn't lag... LoL! Here is the 116 on the daily...

Using MA's to read the tape.

I thought I would post this for the newbies around here... I interpret moving averages the same way I interpret candles or range breakouts/breakdowns. Price above a moving average shows the bulls are in control, and price below shows the bears are in control. The odds of buying low and...

Why I try to only buy bottoms...

This chart is kind of just meant to be funny... But the same three stages occur on every timeframe... It's slightly more complicated because there are also shorts. The exact same three stages also occur in reverse for the same movements.... I once read this one quote... "There is nothing...

Why I try to only buy bottoms...

Because trading is a game, and each movement of the market has three different stages... This is how I have always understood the trading cycle anyway. Stage 1 - Accumulation. After a rise in a uptrend the market is allowed to settle down for a while. Professionals and big players in the...

Sigh, that was just a demonstration of that indicator alone... My current trade timing chart is here... This is just the "entry timing" chart... There is a lot more that goes into it.
